Far too noisy for our liking. A large group next to us had one individual that spoke at an excessive volume. The food was nice (as always) but not as refined as one would expect for the price paid

Fantastic as usual. Only note was received text from Machiavelli noting an entre as a gift celbrating my birthday and did not seem to happen.

There was little confusion on arrival as the restaurant could not locate my name/booking until I advised that I had booked through Quandoo. Even then they said there was no booking under my mane for the night and that they had found my booking for 22/12 which they then said they cancelled. Clearly my booking was for 16/12 but fortunately there was a table on a very busy night otherwise it would have been embarrassing for me me in front of my guests. Perhaps the restaurant is not yet familiar with your booking system.

Food was amazing and staff lovely. Big downside for us was when we got the bill and there was added charges. The most unusual, that I have never seen was adding GST. Apparently the menu prices are ex GST. I have never in Australia had this before. They also added CC surcharge even though we paid cash. So all up these charges added an extra $20+ to the bill.

Over the many years this famous Machiavelli Ristorante Italiano is an 'must do' lunch institution in Sydney. The food is always fresh, cooked and served spot on and so too is the service and experience. As always - excellent!

First time here and was so happy we had booked. Gorgeous thin homemade tagliatelle with prawns. Atmosphere made me Feel like I was in Italy. Highlrecommend

So happy to be back and recognized same friendly welcoming staff. Food so delicious specially the scallops wrapped in prosciutto, melts in your mouth and sticky date pudding. Yum!!. Although my favourite pasta Machiavelli was slightly changed and a bit salty, but hey still so greatful that you're back . 🤗
