Excellent service at the Steyne, always nice people working there, and food was good ;)

A great environment to meet friends and enjoy tasty food.

Very loud on a Sunday ... music was just too loud for my liking. I could only hear people right next to or opposite me. But, food and service was great.

$56 eye fillet steak very disappointing, tasted microwaved and dry.

Soggy but tasty shrimp salad, steyne burger was standard ok

Party of 8, we reserved a week ahead and received confirmation only to arrive and find our table hadn't been reserved. We were able to get a table thankfully. Ordered via table barcode. Our meals all came at different times with 2 of us missing our meals entirely. After waiting 40 minutes after everyone else and lots of confusion we finally received our meals when everyone else had long finished and were ready to leave. The kitchen staff had nod idea what was happening and several other diners were in similar position. Extremely disappointing. Wouldn't bother revisiting or recommending. Plenty of other nicer places .

The management here were awesome, very helpful, and we had an awesome time. Beer selection was great and the margarita pizza gets 5 stars!

The young girl, Catarina? Was a wonderful help - she patiently took us through the booking process and gave us great seats which is why we were able to have such a great evening

Was very busy but service was good and quick suprisingly. Meal was vey nice.

I thought we were booking lunch upstairs but when we arrived it was empty and we eventually found our table downstairs. We were a group of 12 and they sat us at bar tables joined together. It was ok but kind of an awkward spot. I wouldn't come back for lunch but it would be ok for a casual drink.

Food was good but music was way too loud in the eating area. Almost impossible to have a conversation

Food came out at 3 separate times event though was put in as one order. meant our lunch went way over time and some had to leave early. Wrong order advise as snapper however it turned out to be the pan fried fish on the day. No follow up from wait staff even after several requests why the delay. Its coming.... I'll check...never followed up. Steaks were overcooked and not what was requested. Seafood platter for 2 was very light on and certainly not worth $120. Steak sandwich was drowned in mayonnaise. Extremely poor food value.

The service was awesome and the food was amazing. Really fast and well made.

It was 97 for a large pizza, steak with beans and the kingfish entree. Probably on par with most up market bistros. It was really busy so the staff did well. Waiting time was ok. Drinks were easy to get. It was loud with people as there had been a large sporting event on, the place was buzzing.

There was too much food and it was generally wasted

The place was very loud with DJ music so you couldn't hear to talk to anyone at the table. Food was very average for the over the top prices. Eye fillet steak was $56 and was overcooked as we ordered medium and arrived without the sauce that was ordered. Calamari we wanted to order a main meal with chips and salad, they told us we had to order 2 x entrees ($48 total) plus sides of salad ($12) and a bowl of chips ($10). Calamari was tough and not fresh which you kinda expected being in Manly where fresh seafood would be available. We were also charged on top of the already overpriced food 15% surcharge which gave a total of $144 for 2 people!!! We have never been so disappointed in the quality and price of food in a Pub ever. I think you Need to come to Newcastle where we can show you some amazing places to eat at half the price and has consistent quality food. We wont be back and judging by the reviews either will alot of other people.

Obviously understaffed - breakfast was disorganised and service disconnected, my breakfast came out nearly 10 minutes after others, coffees were even latter. Won’t be returning to Steyne for breakfast.

we were late for a table by 15 minutes and it went to another group however, the table that we were finally next to were more than 30 minutes late and they still got their table. We understand it was incredibly busy however besides the fries, all our other dishes were not hot

It was a nice visit, but not one that I would rave about.

From the initial booking to the service and food everything was excellent. We haven’t eaten at The Steyne before but will definitely be back. We , the grand kids and our dogs had a great time . Thanks

Food and service great but music too loud for a dining experience

We ordered 5 meals 2 didn’t arrive. Followup up after 30 minutes they hadn’t ordered them. He staff member who took the order was not listening or seem o know what he was doing. The manager intervened order was taken paid for the meal they didn’t order everyone had eaten still waiting for 1 meal. Not busy not sure what as happening. All in all a disaster.

Food was fairly average…and service slow. It’s the third time we’ve had a similar experience at either breakfast or lunch so will be our last visit.

Food came out at different times - my Dad had finished his meal by the time mine came out. The music was too loud, we had to shout over each other. Service was a bit average, but it was Father's Day and busy.

Meals were serve 30mins apart. Wrong sauce with the steak, steak was not 300g

Food was cold and quality wasn’t great. For the quality and quantity of food it was too expensive.

I celebrated my birthday at Hotel Steyne - Bistro with a large group, and everything was great. The staff was attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommended for special events!

Great meal really good value good beer, worth a visit!

Chicken Caesar was crap. I've never had a caesar with pesto sauce being the dominate flavour. Very disappointing!

Great location but the venue spaces were far too noisy and bright for us.

Great place for family lunch, great service, grat food and atmosphere. Highly recommemd.

We had a gathering of retired, Sydney based, naval reserve divers. We were there to catch up with one of our members who now lives in north Queensland. The Hotel Stayne Manly is a landmark hotel which many of us have visited in the past, with its historic decor, atmosphere and views of the ocean. The lunchtime bistro bar service was excellent, and the food was great!

Good menu, well prepared and presented. Seating enabled space. We were a large group that they were able to accommodate well.

While it is one of my favourite places, and totally understand that you can mess up bookings sometime. It is not okay to lie and try to blame the customer. Saying that no one was there to claim the table , and then finally admitting that it was not true and they did a mistake. Poor form!!

I booked lunch for my family to come together for my husband’s 70th Birthday. The food & service was lovely but the music was loud & monotonous & we couldn’t even talk amongst ourselves which was disappointing & caused us to leave earlier than expected.

For pub food, it is very classy. Well priced, fresh and good quality. We has salmon niçoises salade and tuna crudo, both excellent. Pleasant wines too.

We arrived at 1 pm and a table wasn’t reserved for us even though we had pre booked, a helpful staff member (manager on the day I think) put two tables together for us. There was some work health and safety issues on the veranda ,where we were sitting, with big gaps on the floor tiles and tiles lying loose and being unstable when standing on them. Food was enjoyable.

The food was good and the bar staff were very friendly despite being very busy. The food was reasonable, but we should have been informed when ordering that some of the additions to the kids meal were unavailable.

Good food and right on Manly beach, would go back.

Great pub food but noise from DJ in courtyard too loud.

A really enjoyable lunch. Party of 10. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
