What a shame this restaurant is closing after this visit of ours! We have always loved the food and service provided at this restaurant. We are sad that both the Perth restaurant and this one in Baldivis is closed. Joondalup is just a bit far for us to visit on a regular basis.

Got our pork knuckle and german sausage cravings fixed. Apple strudel for dessert to top it off and no cooking/dishes to do before the start of another week... what's not to love!?

Our reservation was made a few days earlier and we requested for a table away from the bar. There restaurant was quite empty when we arrived at 5.30pm. We were shown to table right next to the bar, and also sitting next to a couple in their mid-30s with 2 young boys age around 4-5 years old. The boys were very playful, they were rolling on the bench seats and running around their table. Their parents did nothing to control their kids. We were annoyed and asked to sit 2 tables away from the couple which was empty. The waiter was not cooperative and insisted that we sat at the table he had shown us. We refused and went ahead to sit at the table we want because it was empty anyway. Then we saw a family of four came in, and they were also shown to a table next to the couple with 2 misbehaved kids, and then the family also moved to another table away from the kids. This is what spoils the atmosphere. Parents should control their kids if they misbehaved, and the management should also step up in ensuring kids do not run around inside the restaurant, roll on the floor or seat benches, screaming, yelling, and interfering with the enjoyment of other guests. When we left at about 6.45 pm, the restaurant starts to get busy, and the tables near the couples were still empty, no one wants to sit near them. Baldivis is a first home buyer area, we can see many young couples with kids coming to this restaurant for meals, there is nothing wrong with bringing their kids as long as they control their kids if they misbehaved, and the restaurant manager and waiters should do something about it in such situations. By the way, we ordered a pork knuckle to share between us, we think it’s highly overpriced at $42, it comes with some chips and had about a spoonful of sauerkraut, and a tiny jug of sauce which was tasteless and watery.
