we ordered too much food, one meal per person to share was a lot!

Good food, good service, in general a very good experience

This new upmarket version of Yama isn't the same as the old. Less traditional Japanese, more fusion and more expensive. Waitresses were friendly, but inexperienced. We were given the lunch menu instead of the dinner menu. Red wine came in an ice bucket. Prefer the old Yama.

Good view of street below, good food, and music playing was not loud. One could easily talk and have a conversation. A very pleasant spot for lunch.

Good Japanese fare in a quite lovely part of the QVB at reasonable prices. Recommended for lunch with the Bento and seafood plates particularly nice.

The service is lovely but the good is just ok, consider there are other japanese restaurants nearby which provide a much better quality of food. Price is reasonable.

For our purpose, a group of friends wanting a quiet, inexpensive lunch, Yama was ideal. Food was not outstanding but it was very pleasant and the service was attentive.
