Friendly staff and great location. Seafood was amazing and great service
Rude and unprofessional service. The view was lovely but then the food especially the seafood platter was extremely average for the price ($300). Also, my brother felt really sick after the meal :(
We were looking forward to going to the waterfront restaurant in Port Melbourne but were disappointed not what we were expecting the food was very average like pub food. Lovely view but It’s very indain inside with Indian music going. Not my sort of music sorry!
Took my girl out dinner to the waterfront in port melbourne and you guys made our valentines dinner date something to remember and we will definatly be back for all our special dinners
The service and ambience was excellent, the wine beautiful, and most of food delicious. We went there to experience the seafood platter. To our dismay the crab was very small, questiobable whether legal, and one of our guests got food poisoning from a king prawn. Very disappointed and thus the poor rating.
Menu was very limiting, not all options advertised were available. Steak was without alot of flavour - very bland. Service was excellent though - the waiter who looked after us was very good at his craft.
This was my first visit in a couple of years - we use to go often, however the new owners haven't kept up the standards. Terrible service, very average food. Won't be back.
Best seafood chowder I’ve had. Service was good. A nice kids menu. A good way to relax before getting onto the boat. A nice view as well
Service was average, food was OK but a bit more attention to the final plate could be done. Entree's were over priced for the quality you recieved. Think that was the last time I go there, has dropped a lot over the past 5 years
Just had a great day at the Waterfront. Beautiful food. Sensational location. If you're looking for a summertime venue, worth checking out. Ambience is super fantastic.
The food we had was so fresh & beautifully presented & tasted awesome, we loved the atmosphere & customer service as excellent, overall we had a fantastic night dining at Waterfront Port Melbourne
There were 4 of us for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the water views, the food and service, even the weather was great. This restaurant is moderately priced and I would have no problems recommending it to others.
Excellent views, excellent service. Fairly expensive, but very few views like this in Melbourne. Char grilled snapper was amazing, as was the linguini. Highly recommended!
Food was good, place was beautiful. Didn't get chips we ordered. And after ordering dessert waitress came back to tell us there was none of the brulee left.
Great service from front of house all the way through the evening. Food was delicious and came in great sizes too. Views were amazing! We timed it perfectly for sunset, so good!!
Great position and food. Our Chinese guests really enjoyed the occasion. We will take guests there again. Try the mussels. Service was also excellent. Thanks
Went for Valentine's Day and had a lovely dinner with my husband and 2 children. Received a rose and lovely music playing in the background made a special night
Poor quality food. Services was poor. Money grabbers. It was very poor quality food and overly price. I will never go back and will mot recommend to anyone
Although the location is very picturesque, the food was mediocre considering the premium price that was paid. A few things were forgotten it's not accetable when platters go up to 500 dollars
simply.... amazing!! Fantastic service, great food, amazing wine! What more could you possibly ask for! Took my girlfriend there on our first date and reminisced by taking her back a year later, did not disappoint:-)
Had a great night - a farewell dinner for a staff member. The food was great and the service excellent. It was great being able to watch the activity on the pier with a cruise ship and the Tasmanian ferry.
Service was very good, did not wait long when ordering drinks and food, waitress was good when being asked about menu,on the whole we had a wonderful evening.
Lovely restaurant. Lovely food. Staff were very attentive and service was quick and efficient. A big advantage is parking, it's not cheap but it's right outside.
The staff were lovely, very attentive and polite. But the decor and music are so wrong for a restaurant on the water. It's got accents of Turkish or Moroccan and appears confused and it looks cheap. Two of our dishes were not very appetising, the Morton bay bug risotto was lovely. The food and menu promised a lot but didn't really deliver.
$80 bottle chardonnay served at room temperature. Unbelievable. Two orders of lobster and salmon Wellington. In both cases lobster was underprepared and over cooked. Both pastry casings were seriously burnt on the bottom. They should not have left the kitchen. There was no pride in the presentation of these dishes; no attention to detail at all! An unacceptable "dining" experience. First and definitely last!!!!
Great location but the food was not at the same level. Nothing really to complain about but the standard was that of a very good pub meal but the prices were not.
The food was very good with every effort made to accommodate a food allergy. However, the service was lacking. We constantly had to ask for water, our next courses and coffee. This coloured our dining experience.
Good food and service, we were very happy. we even got a lovely table with a view of the port. Will go back again soon.
There was the valentine's special dinner menu with a surprising rose. Overall it was great, the food, the view, the live music as well as its atmosphere.
food was excellent. special menu for valentines day was great. service was a little bumpy with waiters confused as to which tables they needed to deliver plates to. repeatedly had waiters wandering around trying to figure out which table they were supposed to serve food to.
View was good. Food was ok but nothing special. toilets were average. Expensive for what we got. Decoration was redone since we last when and maybe a change of owner. Don't think we will be going back.
We had a table for 6 outside it was a great day. Food was delicious service was excellent. Extensive wine list. Would recommend. Would be a great venue to take overseas visitors.
Have been going to this restaurant for a number of years and the last visit was very disappointing. The food was just ok. The wine list was just ok. The service was good but overall, this place used to be awesome.
Will not be rushing back. Told no crab or lobster available. Hard to believe from a restaurant on the waterfront that presents a seafood menu. The meals that were selected as second choice were fine. Table service was friendly but attention to detail was lacking.
Nice venue with good views. The food was good, with sufficient variety, particularly for a group with varying tastes and ages. Service was good, with staff attentive and having a happy demeanour (a smiling face goes a long way).
Tasty selection of starters Fish served was generous slightly cooked more than preferred Service excellent after confusion over booking which was completed on internet as required, but they seemed to be running two sites, but sorted after initial confusion
We had a lovely time. We happened to be sitting next to the owners and they were very friendly and generous. We originally were out along the deck area, but it was a bit warm and they were happy to move us inside.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we found the staff were extremely friendly and attentive to our needs and requests. The food was presented to a very high standard. Overall we had a great night.
Hadn't been here for 12 months and won't bother going back. Whilst the service was fine and very friendly, the food was average at best. It was extremely overpriced pub bistro food and that's not a fancy pub I am referring to, just an ordinary suburban pub, if that.
On arrival we were greated with a friendly staff and taken to our seat that had a superb view of the bay, Location. On receiving our meals the food did not disappoint it was delicious.
The quality of the food and the service were fine, nothing out of the ordinary, the location and views were very good. The prices on the menu are way above the overall service provided.
The entree was 'a seafood tasting ' small and tasteless! .main course was very good (salmon) though on the small side. Dessert was also very good. Wine was quite acceptable. Service was attentive and the ambience pleasing on the sunny day that we were there.
Seafood fresh and delicious .Service at quiet lunch slow and disparate. Loved going there when entertainment on Board..great value then otherwise a bit exy. Have the Paella
You could not complain about any part of the experience. Great ambiance, sea view, service & food were all excellent. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
Awesome food and surroundings! My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary at Waterfront Port Melbourne and been pleasantly surprised by what they had to offer. Had a lovely time dining, while also enjoying the surroundings. Would definitely be visiting again!
food was good, decor is unusual not modern but it's own style, staff are friendly but you need to get their attention to order drinks,
Fish was dry, Service was poor, decor is deploarable , stuck in the1980's. It has lost its class big time, new owners and not italian
Good service and good food. Lovely view. i will strongly recommend and share my experience with others. i wish there were more deals like this.
A very nice restaurant and the food was delicious. Good service as well. We don't like oysters, so we asked them to delete them from the entre platter. We would go again without hesitation.
The restaurant décor was nice the music wasn't too loud and view looking out over Port Phillip Bay with the sunset and the spirit of Tasmania departing made for a pleasant night. The staff were very friendly and the food was really nice I had the steak which was cooked to my request and my wife had the whole baby snapper which she enjoyed and my daughter had the salmon fillet which we all had a taste of and agreed it was also very nice. The range of cocktails was suitable and they also had a very good list of wine and beers. I would be happy to recommend the Waterfront to anyone.
