Food was tasty, but limited menu choices. No bread was served to our table. Restaurant was noisy and crowded. Courses were too rushed and the manager asked us to leave before we had finished our wine as they needed the table for another party. Quite pricey for a forced rushed meal.

Great atmosphere and service as always. Food was absolutely delicious, packed full of flavour. We had a really nice French waiter and he was friendly and attentive to our needs. Manager was friendly but not super warm. One of the girls who worked there spoke really loudly and it was a bit weird that when one of our dishes didn’t turn out they took it away and didn’t really tell us what was happening - communication in that regard was lacking a little. Would have been nice if they remade it for us as we only ordered two mains and that was one of them. But they took it off our bill which was nice. Overall still one of my favourite restaurants in Melb.

Incredible food and venue. The only negative is that I had been before and had a superb experience because the gentleman that served us spent time telling us about the food and offering wonderful recommendations. Unfortunately our waitress this time had not tried much of the food or wine and was unwilling/unable to help us choose. This was a real shame. And definitely diminished our experience.

This place is a must try! The food is outstanding and very affordable considering the amount of food that is included. Some stand outs for us included the lentil kofte, date butter with house turkish bread, the prawn and calamari, turkish dumplings and the beef rib, everything was so different to anything we have tried before. The head chef even brought out an additional serve of one of the startes as he overheard how much we loved a particular dish which was a real stand out. Oh and the Anatolian Fire cocktail... yum. The first time we dined at Tulum it was faultless however the second time we returned with friends and family the staff felts a bit rushed and our sequence of service was a bit off however all in all a great experience.

First Turkish restaurant that does not have halal meat. Turks are majority muslims, so I don't know whether this restaurant is really catering to that audience. I also found restaurant to be more fusion, than Turkish. The best item I had was actually a spring role (irony alert).

Food was exciting but service was disappointing. Four of us were squashed around a tiny table designed for two and we were given the bill and sent on our way at 9 pm despite other tables having been at the restaurant longer than we were. We were given no opportunity to order dessert. Broken glass on the seat when we arrived- that happens- but the staff seemed frustrated that they had to serve us and belligerently attended to us. We were given the wrong table’s bill. We did book a week prior to eating at Tulum ; I would have preferred to have been told they were fully booked than paid a moderate amount of money for a poor experience. I also wrote to them straight after our experience but have heard nothing back from them. Exudes arrogance.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. My beef short rib was lukewarm so it felt like I was eat congealed fat. The 3 sauces that accompanied it were confusing in flavor and did not help the oiliness of the dish. We had to wait a long time before our wine glasses were refilled. It was a shame because we were so looking forward to dining here.

We had the best night! Celebrating a special birthday and had the complexity of a vegetarian in the group which Tulum accommodated with aplomb! Loved the whole experience and cannot wait to dine at Tulum again soon!

One of our favourite restaurants in melbourne! we come here often and are blown away every single time. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are wonderful too. Can’t get enough of the food and i know we will be back sooner than later.

The food and the service was great as always. We had the 6 course meal for 4 people and it was delicious but the amount of food in some dishes for 4 pax was just not enough. The beef short ribs in particular was sensational but tiny. We have dined there before choosing fro the menu and this seemed to be much better value. I understand it is fine dining but...

The food was generally good even though there were no exceptional standout dishes among the food ordered for our table of 4. The serving staff were genuinely pleasant.

Outstanding food served in a lively setting. Given the great quality of the food it was a pity that the meal felt rushed to fit within the 2 hour window. The service was great and all staff were very knowledgeable and friendly but at times a bit distracted due to time pressure.

Fabulous Turkish food with a modern twist. Some unexpected combinations but all totally delicious. The slow cooked beef ribs “Kaburga”were a standout.

First off. The food and wine is really very good. Some wonderful flavours and great combinations. The Turkish Pinot Noir we chose was excellent. The setup of the restaurant was not good. Tables are jammed in very tight. We had a table for 2 next to a major service point. The service to the table next to us had to happen behind our backs. It was very interesting to hear and see exactly what the people next to us ordered in intimate detail. I was run into on multiple occasions by the staff. But the food is great.

Tulum was extraordinary!!! I had misread the times and booked for 5.45 instead of 7.45 but it was no issue for them at all and without any fuss we were accommodated for and looked after with so much care, laughter and enthusiasm. The food is sensational, the service impeccable and the Tulum experience is unforgettable.. thank you to our waiter, the chef and management for your hospitality.. so good!!!

This is like no other Turkish restaurant in Melbourne. I imagine this is what the Sultan ate. Sensational and exquisite food beautifully presented, accompanied by excellent Turkish wines.
