Excellent food at an excellent location close to the opera house and circular quay. Authentic Indian cuisine served by personable and efficient staff. Highly recommend their pre-theatre menu, it’s great value

Spectacular chicken dish and excellent prawns. All round good performer for food and drink. A little noisy or vibrant, depending on your mood as it is relatively small space.

Good quality and quantity of food. Enjoyed, staff was very polite and service was quick, we reschedule our table and was given to us without any waiting. Overall a great place to dine in. 👍

All good, well looked after, food tasty. Maybe liked it a bit more spicy and the lighting was quite bright and surprised no tea/mints etc at the end of set meal.

Another great meal at the spice room! Hard to fault this place. I would highly recommend a visit! And try the pistachio kulfi it's awesome!

This was my second visit to The Spice Room and it was once again a wonderful experience. The first time we went we got the $55 banquet which was delicious but just a little bit too much food! So this time we got the $44 banquet and it was perfect. Yummy! The Spice Room is also in a great location and has a wonderful atmosphere. A great experience all round!

Terrific service and amazing food. The flavours were fantastic, one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to and we would not hesitate to go back again.

Excellent food and service, their mix of spices are second to none. very enjoyable. Can't wait to return for another taste sensation . We introduced our friends to The Spice Room and they are still talking about how good it was.

Wonderful place, great service & the food was even better. Must haves are a Vindaloo (Prawns were great) and Palak Paneer along Beetroot fritters are wonderful.

We had our dinner there before a concert at the Opera House. It was our second time to the Spice Room. The food was excellent again. Service was also very good: quick and attentive. We will go there again.

The food and service was outstanding. Only downfall was that they didn't have our booking on record even though we booked online via quandoo. The staff apologised for the mistake profusely and re-checked and said that they had missed it. We were seated a minute or two later and enjoyed the rest of our experience. Will definitely be back!

The food was, in a word - DELICIOUS. Great service from professional and personable staff. Well worth a try, if you haven't been yet. We'll be going back !!

The food came out quick and the customer service was great. We ordered the tandoori mixed grill, butter chicken, railway canteen goat curry, pumpkin jeera aloo, garlic naan, saffron rice pulao and mango lassi. Everything was good and the garlic naan was fresh from the tandoori which made the experience even better. The goat curry was our favorite with the goat falling off the bone. The sauce was amazing where we had to scrap up all the sauce with naan because it was that good. I'm salvating thinking about it. We would like to go n and try the banquet to try out other dishes.

The entres and mains were great. The desert was underwhelming. The cocktails seemed weak and took too long to turn up - stick with beer only. The post meal palete cleanser was fun and interesting.

Great food and good service. Best Indian in Australia so far and I have been here nine years now! Good selection of dishes and drinks. Well located in Circular Quay.

Good food, - little small inside turned up early and had to wait outside as no bar area to wait in. - not a problem.

Great night at the Spice Room last night. Fantastic service from seating us where we wanted to sit to catering for vegan food. Lovely food!

Food was amazing but we got kicked out WORST customer service! We had to rush and eat our food and the waiters kept watching us - never going back!

the food is outstanding.seriously one of the best indian restuarants i've been to outside singapore. highly recommend the spice room.the decor gives you a real authentic "mumbai feel".go enjoy!

Delicious and daring food, wonderful atmosphere and decor, just a little noisy. This little gem is well hidden in a drab building. But as soon as you step inside you are transported to another place.

Upon booking i was informed i can only have the table to myself until 8. I explained it should most probebly not be a problem unless we are in between meals at 8. We were late by around 45 minutes and before reaching i called to inform we are running late. I was again told i'l have to vacate the tabel at 8 even if we havent finished our food. I have never experienced such arrogance towards a customer ever in my life. We ended up eating elsewhere and thankfully we did not have to eat at this non-customer friendly place because the service, food and overall dining experience at the other restaurant was out of the world. But i wont recommend The spice room to anyone nor would like to ever visit that again.

Best Indian meal I've had in Sydney. Highly recommend the grand emperors banquet it was amazing!! Can't recommend the place highly enough! If you like Indian food, go there!!

Delicious food and first class service - polite and prompt (Azhar). The atmosphere is vibrant but cozy. The barman meticulously polished the glasses and helped clean tables in quieter moments.

Great food and great ambiance. The staff are very helpful and willing to please. The banquet is a good option as you get to taste different dishes. Will be going back there soon

Food was great but we didn't have any glasses, cutlery or napkins on the table and had to ask for each item . Regards Michael

The resturant is beautiful and the food is delicious. Service was excellent and staff was friendly, although they lost our reservation they quickly amended their mistake and seated us straight away. Would definitely recommend as the pave to go for Indian cuisine!!!

Nice place. Shall go again Naan are great. Curry is tasty and service from the waiters are fabulous. The place is easy to find and access.

Great food, great service. Unique decor and location. Value for money. Early evening meal, noisy and cheery, tables very close. Not for intimate dining. Enjoyable for groups who don't mind the bustle

We love this little gem close to the Opera House. Interesting choice of dishes with distinct flavours. Not your usual ubiquitous Indian with 2 or 3 interchangeable sauces.

Excellent food and customer service. Also very helpful in accomodating my dietary requirements, highly recommend and will be back definitely, food and service could not be flawed

Delicious food, good service but a little noisy. Normally o find curries in Indian restaurant the same but the curries here had greT variety and the entrees were exceptional.
