The Roosevelt is a great place for a quick pre-theatre dinner - good food, classy decor and fabulous cocktails. The $15 steak on a Wednesday night is a true bargain.

Chicken pȃté scored top points from my guest, and the cured salmon delicious. Ambience relaxed with cool music and the hostess offers excellent service. I'll be back.

The cocktails are totally banging! There will be something to satisfy everyone. The food is sensational. The pate is smooth and rich and beautiful. We dined really early on a Sunday night so they weren't quite prepared but they comped us the sides (have the Brussels sprouts - seriously good and from a person who always hated sprouts as a kid) because the mains took a while. Not that we were in a hurry or anything. So, that was really good of them and unexpected. The Eton mess dessert was fantastic. I love this place and will definitely recommend them and I will come back.

The staff were excellent, very friendly. The food (I had the cauliflower) was burnt and underwhelming. Drinks service was a little slow. Nice atmosphere though.

Cool place, great vibe. The fancy drinks are fun. Staff are really nice however kept quite busy so slight delays taking some of our orders. Food was delicious and filling.

Great spot for a cocktail, wonderful History. Pity the computerised ordering is so unsubtly on display, needs to be low key to suit the vibe of Roosevelt.

We had a 6.30pm booking on Thursday night. It's generally a venue that focuses on its Cocktails, Wine, Spirits etc. Our Entree & Mains were quite OK, however I believe that they could spend more time on developing their Food Menus to become a one-stop venue. Very pleasant decor, and excellent background music from a range of different eras !

Nice ambiance from the combination of décor and cocktail theatrics. Food is tasty and not too expensive. The place does have specials on through the week

The $15 Wednesday steak deal is good value. Great 20's vibe and always easy to find an interesting and tasty cocktail in a fancy glass.

It was Saturday evening and very popular - I was there for a drink, and had been looking for somewhere fairly quiet and subdued to sit and talk but it was full and fairly diffuse to hear one another - it was my first time there and I probably selected the wrong setting. Recommend this establishment for a group if people - fun, lively energetic, popular, loud....I had an enjoyable experience there nonetheless...

Great vibe, but the service was very slow that we had to constantly wave at the waiter to get served. Usually the service is good.

Food was good, cocktails were great but the service was atrocious !! Some basic training in the art of customer service seriously required, how to make people feel welcome, how to even just discuss the basics of the menu ? the chef would be furious with the wait staff if he was seated at our table

Food was tasty and the cocktails were interesting however i thought it was a little overpriced. When confirming the booking we mentioned we were there for dinner however we were sat at a table which was not really suitable for dining. Luckily we were able to change.

The service was prompt and efficient with the menu being somewhat limited. Nevertheless, the dishes chosen were very tasty and well cooked. The cocktails were, as expected, exotic and creative. There was a feeling of underlying excitement in the room and I felt a very pleasant "buzz" Overall, a pleasant experience.

By far the best $15 steak night I have been to in Sydney, cooked to perfection! Service is always great and has a nice vibe too!

The service was really bad. Had to look out for wait staff and catch them.... most of them looked angry. Doesn't make for a pleasant experience. The drinks were pretty good.

It was fun and gorgeous cocktails...could have sat there all night, but it made a fab pre-dinner event!!!! You need about 2 hours to get into the swing of it!!!!

Cocktails were great.. service was okay, it took a while for our orders to be taken and for our cocktails to arrive because they were so busy.. I thought that the atmosphere could be a bit better, it was a bit too brightly lit.
