Great as usual, but when will the fish ball come back on the menu?

The goggle rating of 4.8 despite 4.7k sample size was definitely rigged. The Uni was ok, but as we are paying $120 person and have to top up with Ramen elsewhere afterward, it was way over-priced. It’s ok if it was authentic Japanese fine dining, but it wasn’t. The plastic plate and factory setting with weird gimmick decor gave it away. I felt that i could get the same (or a lot more with $120) uni satisfaction going to the South Melb Market.

This was our first time eating sea urchin, qe loved it! Sushi platter was great, service great the place was great

Dined at The Roe multiple times and the experience was also excellent. Be sure to also go up to the second floor where they have a retail store that sells sauces and dry goods.

Service was good but the food was just so so

we ordered steamed egg and set dinner. The set dinner came soon after the steamed egg. It would be better if we could the steamed egg before the set dinner come. I felt a bit rushed.

The foods and services were okay , somewhat fresh, but the restaurant felt very dark and dodgy, with tasteless decorations, it was as if you stepped into rowdy shanghai bars without alcohol and definitely not Japanese restaurant. They do not serve alcohol.

Music is annoying. Keeps changing from one song to the next during our visit

Excellent foods and services. I was so impressed by the decorations of the toilet, they provide hair dryer, perfume, mouthwash and teeth floss for guests to use.

Service is always great at The Roe. We went there for my friend's birthday and they surprised her with complimentary dessert and sang birthday song to her, together with the robot!

The food was nice but a bit pricy. In terms of the venue interior, personally didnt enjoy much but some people might like it.

Spent almost $300 for lunch and takeaway. I think it’s worth the experience although I must say it’s not cheap. But the quality is there👍🏼

Great sea urchin, bluefin tuna belly, although wagyu could be better quality (and it was a little over cooked)

both Uni and scallop are not up to Japanese sashimi standard, I can taste the treatment

Everything was good, except when a staff came to us and asked us to pay our bill at around 8:30-40pm while we didn't finish our dinner yet and were still waiting for another dishes. That just made our dinner experience here not 100% satisfied. Otherwise, food and staff service were outstanding.

Sea urchin donburi was fantastic, as was the kingfish yuzu. Kumquat drink with the kumquqt jelly was one of the best drinks I've tried. The pacing of the dinner was very fast however. A bit of a breather between dishes would have been nice.

Great as always, the new 19.9 range meals are awesome.

Seafood is so fresh and service is very good. We really enjoy our dinner there.
