Staff were friendly but the place seems to have lost some ambience since I was last there. I had vegan falafel meal. Flavour was ok but the falafels were overfried and hard. It would have been nice to replace the usual non-vegan yoghurt with some chutney or something. Also fill your pepper grinder!
It was a smashing place to have a catch-up with a dear friend. Lovely staff and service. I'll definitely be back. Thank you.
A problem signing in, but was sorted. Staff very helpful. Food was good.
Had heard rave reviews but let a bit underwhelmed. Love the aesthetic, really cool locale, but needs cleaning and a revamp. Food was good but underseasoned and heavily overpriced. Drinks were good. Service was hit and miss but it was super hot and they're trying to work with masks on so not sure that its fair to judge on this visit, im sure they're doing their best.
I can understand about rush but service and food should be delivered at its best & quality which wasn’t after an hour waiting on ordered.
Beautiful breakie and lovely staff z z z z z
What is shown on internet menu is not what is available in the cafe. Disappointing.
Booked early. Very popular quiet eatery. Prompt service and pleasant staff
Excellent meal and very good and friendly service. Highly recommended
As usual we enjoyed the food & service at The Flying Nun.
Hadn’t been for a while and was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. The dessert case had very few choices and the carrot cake I ordered was over cooked and dry. I hate to give bad reviews, however the quality will need to improve for the customers to keep coming.
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. This is the reason will keep going back. Great coffee. Food is good. Not as well presented as it was the past but still nice to eat.
We met for morning tea & loved the setting outside as it was quite a hot day & the shade was very welcome. Coffee, scones & cakes were delicious. Will be back 😀
Good food with interesting menu, friendly and quick service, good location
The food was amazing, the staff super friendly, the bushland and gardens give such a relaxed feel for the dining experience.
Meals came separately and also coffee and no social distancing or registration
Really enjoyable and great food. All people enjoyed the experience and food. We had pancakes, big breakfast and a breakfast wrap in our party. Wonderful!
We spent a very pleasant morning there catching up with friends
Great food, coffee and service. Will be back. Thank you.
We booked. For a Sunday it is a must so as not to be disappointed. It was very busy. No table service due to COVID19 so we had to wait in line to order our drinks. Then we fronted up again to order our food which took quite some time to arrive, but as mentioned, it was very busy so to be expected.
We visited this restaurant some years ago and was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I cannot day the same for today’s visit. Understandably with COVID restrictions the staff were possibly not prepared for the amount of diners.. we waited about an hour for the meal and then it was pretty ordinary. The wait staff were lovely and definitely trying their best. I am guessing it had changed owners since our last visit. Good luck
Very relaxing visit with very good food and friendly staff
Loved the breakfast range, friendly service and beautiful ambience to the Cafe. Was taken there by family and returned ourselves because we loved the rustic charm.
Was very enjoyable nice seating area amongst trees service was good
My 94 year old dad and I each had a lovely breaky wrap with beautiful cake and coffee/tea to follow. Easy access for wheelie walker. Full table service would have been easier for us but we understand that might require more staff and that may not be easy during Covid times.
Mushroom risotto was delicious. Mum enjoyed the hollumi burger. Will definitely be back. Lovely, friendly service.
Amazing service, food and coffee. Even though we live on the opposite side of town, we will definitely be returning again.
Restaurant has gone down hill. Alot of the meals were freezer to fryer rather than fresh. Been coming here for many years was a go to for lunch but wouldnt rush back.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, good food as always. Will be back.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere with great food and service, was great food and a great place
Good prompt service from friendly staff and nice food well presented
So disappointed- this place used to be great but food was very poor quality, over-priced and average all round. Absolutely nothing special. Service was ok.
The atmosphere was lovely & so was the food. The staff were very friendly
Good coffee, and nice food. Lovely location, options indoors and out.
As always, an excellent breakfast, great choices and the best level of service.
Delicious food and great coffee! The perfect place to meet up with friends.
Fabulous great quick service food perfect couldn’t be happier with out first meal since covid
I appreciate that eateries are now slowly opening post COVID-19 which bring challenges. However, we found the Eggs Benedict to be disappointing. There was only a dribble of Hollandaise Sauce which is a key ingredient for this meal. I am hoping in the future the serving will be more generous.
Bit of confusion in being able to use a voucher. Food great as usual
The food was really delicious and it was a really peaceful and beautiful cafe.
Very enjoyable evening thank you & we will be back.
Definately has gone downhill since the last visit to the flying nun, this was our favourite place to come for a Sunday breakfast when we could afford it, we won't be back again and will recommend others not waste their time... Table service was poor, the meal I received was missing parts stated on the menu (and the staff didn't understand what was missing), not to mention the meal was cold.. the drinks we used to order every time were not the same standard. Even the venue has changed for the worse with what looks like opportunistic placement of additional tables in what was beautiful garden. All in all, very disappointed.
The food is always amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. My fav place for lunch and dinner.
Initially the waitress was quite officious & patronising. The meals were inconsistent & not as stated on the menu. As a previous customer I was could tell that these were different owners
A little disappointed. Have been there for breakfast and lunch on other occaisions. Our dinner wasn't up to the standard I expected. Meals were on the small side - waiter could have mentioned and suggested getting a side. Also the steak didn't seem the same size dish as we had seen delivered to other diners. And it was cold. Duck was great. Duck spring rolls were mushy and didn't seem to contain duck? Dessert seemed stale. Young waitstaff didn't seem very well trained (have noticed this elsewhere too, perhaps a symptom of age not training?) Still love this restaurant, but will stick to breakfast in the future.
The food was acceptable. It was soo hot and we were menaced by the flies. The ambience was very ordinary. The staff were pleasant and efficient.
The place has gone downhill. Very poor service. The staff were inattentive and seemed not to be trained in basic hospitality skills. Came across very disinterested and lacking personality. Waited 40 minutes for drinks which we had to chase up. Food average nowhere near what it used to be. Won't be back
Extremely disappointed with our experience. Food was ordinary and there was no service. Staff were not friendly at all. Wont go again.
Friendly staff, lovely location, food taste good, good night out with friends and family.
good quality food , good service and quirky and cozy atmosphere.
