The Diplomat Cafe

Food was very nice and staff were friendly. Very reasonable prices.

I booked table for 6 plus a pram for Sat arvo. Plenty of space. Beautiful cafe with natural lighting. Service was excellent. Coffee and chicken wrap was beautiful. Easy to park and right next to train.

Food was delicious and service was good too! Sat outside in the sun and it was glorious.

You can see that the cafe owner started off with great intentions for the decor (hanging plants etc.) but the plants have been left to die and there isn't much of a vibe at the back of the cafe. The open kitchen was messy and the smell of grease filled the air. I had to ask for multiple basics (butter for my toast, sugar, ketchup). The okonomiyaki was drowning in mayo and the big breakfast was not very special given it's $27. Sad that this didn't live up to the reviews.

Food was great but small portions for amount of money charged. Was very loud inside and I felt as though the staff were running around too much. Was surprised I was charged more for a freshly squeezed half apple n orange juice when either on its own were the same price. Overall was a little disappointed.

The food at the Diplomat is always ahead of the curve. It's become locally renowned for creating delicious food that is very tasty and is a step above to the same old usual food you get in competitor cafes. There's always stuff you've never heard of that become an instant favourites, like the 'dirty chook' or the 'mushroom medley. It's my go to Sunday breakfast.

We always have a great time at the Diplomat. The staff is super friendly, the food is delicious and is prepared very quickly. The atmosphere is always pleasant. It's an awesome experience every time :)

Very appreciative that it is one of the only cafes in the area who have bothered to establish a booking system great food and service and no fear of turning up with no available tables!
