Squires Loft - South Yarra

Delicious food, very friendly staff and excellent service . Perfect for an evening meal . The steak is one of the best in Melbourne, and I have only had better port in lisbon.

Outdated and same common issue in this country with so many hospitality staff, customers seem to be a hindrance to their everyday life. As a customer you almost feel like leaving before ordering. We ordered 4 steaks and he bill was a tad under $200, all plates had soggy chips, we asked for sauce and the waitress brought us a tiny silver cup to share between us , worth 10 times more than gold that sauce. A very unpleasant experience.

Best steak in town every time, can never fault it. Great Pepper sauce, awesome sides as well. There are many more expensive places around and very few come close

The food was quite average, my steak was quite chewy. Had high expectations, as heard from friends they are good. But the service was really nice.

The menu was exactly as expected and the food was delicious but the service staff were slow and seemed like they didn’t know who should be looking after us

Oven was broken so menu limited. Service was slow and the place was dirty. I haven't been for 3 years, but after this visit, I won't be going back. Squires Loft is not what it used to be.

Steak was lovely. But the chips slightly over cooked and way too many. And smelt like they been cooked in old oil. I’ll stick with the spud next time.

The food was excellent, the service was dismal. The best service is when you’re attended to at the correct times and not hassled every minute by a different inexperienced waitress. We are regular customers because the food is great however this experience has made us rethink our next visit.

Asian waiter was a bit aggressive and trying to up sell. Also there was an extra beer added to our bill - not sure if it was an accident.

Nice steak restaurant but wagyu porterhouse wasn’t worth the extra cost compared to the normal porterhouse cut. Highly reccomend the pork ribs with squires basting

The food is good but the service is far below our expectation. I can understand thay Saturday night is peobably the busiest time, but with the expenses of service?? Come on, you can do better than that.

Absolutely brilliant. Service was excellent and very friendly, food was amazing and reasonably priced and plenty of variety sondefinitely something for everybody. Would highly recommend for any occasion

Perfect steak with a many options. This place is consistently good. The service and food is always good. Location is also good in south Yarra.

The service was slow but the overall was not too bad. The food was exceptional with the reasonable price. Worth to go back and recommended if you are in the area but the parking might be the issue.

Meat, meat with a choice of meat, brilliant. All comes served with your favourite side, wine and chips. Need to book as it can get busy.

Always enjoy a Squires session with a bottle of Malbec. Can’t go wrong

Food is done masterfully! tastes are wonderfull. not a six star as the beef Ribs were a bit "skinny" else the rest of the meal was excellent! Staff are friendly and except for initial request of the waiter seating us, he requested we be finished in an hour as he had another booking for that table at 8pm.

Food and service was excellent as always.. Scotch fillet, vegetable sides and sticky date pudding.. Top notch! Will be back again, can’t wait for next time..

We have been going to Squires Loft - South Yarra, sitting at the same table for over 18 years. we love the food. Steaks are always very tender and tasty, the service is great too. We live in Adelaide and only get to Melbourne once or twice a year but we always book to go to Squires Loft

Always love coming here for the juicy eye fillet and amazing blue cheese sauce. Squires Loft has our favorite Syrah on the wine list and the wait staff are terrific.

We ordered median rare T-bone and lamb loin chops. The lamb was delicious, but the t-bone was over cooked. So far we had a good time!

Steak was great. Service great. Wine great. Bread on arrival was so good had to ask for another serve. Very well looked after. Would recommend.

We are always happy with the quality of the stakes in this venue. The rare eye fillet which I had yesterday must be the best stake in Melbourne ever. However, need to note if you book this venue via online, you need to vacant in 1.5 hours as this is very busy place.

It is always a pleasure coming into your restaurant. Service is always at a very Hugh standard and of course the food is cooked perfectly.

The steak was great, highly recommend the garlic sauce and the German Riesling. Service was good. Over excited even. They almost cleared my uneaten corn because I left my butter wrapping on it. Just shows they’re watching though. Steak was cooked to perfection

The restaurant was cozy and inviting, the staff are well presented and when I asked for a cocktail that wasn’t listed they gave it a go. The food was amazing the sauces are perfectly paired with the melt in your mouth meat. Thank you guys for a lovely dinner.

We were located at the end of the restaurant next to a door leading outside that staff were using constantly so got a cold breeze which came through all the time. After a little while we did ask to be relocated which was a lot better. Overall, food was good.

Favourite place to go for date night. Have been going here for my pre footy game meal for awhile now. Service and staff are lovely and food is AMAZING.

90 minutes to eat n get out meaning test desserts n coffee is out. Worse experience was, booked a table of 3. I was shocked to see a table good enough for 1 or max 2. How on earth can 3 of us have a relaxing time having our meals on a small tiny table? If given 3 mains, with sides, baked potatoes to come along with mains. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to put them on the table. Seriously, if I weren’t given a bigger table that night. I would have got my invited guests to wine n dine elsewhere. Totally unacceptable. I am heading to Meat & company in hawthorn.

The best steaks in town. The 300gm eye fillet is the one for our group. The Deserts are pretty awesome as well. Great staff and impressive wine list
