Too noisy, too busy service good but must order via table app which I find annoying. Food was however usual high standard

The food is always delicious, and we find ourselves going almost every Friday. We really enjoy it and always look forward to our visits.

We especially love the bento box, the dumplings, and the potato salad. It’s a place we always enjoy coming back to.

I now come here on a regular basis. The agedashi is delicious and is a generous serving.

Food was great! They offer BYO on bottled wine which they charge a $20 fee and depending on how busy they are sometimes the charge is $10 a bottle. Inconsistent! Still the food is great and still cheaper to pay bottle fee than buy a glass of wine for $15 and 3 sips and it’s finished.

The food were quite good but a bit oily especially the tempura.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. We have eaten at Kadota previously, just over a year ago, and I walked out saying that it was literally the best meal that we had ever had. This time the new menu was nothing like our first experience. Nothing was 'wow' like last time. The food was still nice, but not amazing, and definitely not worth the price. Service was still great and the meals presentation was pretty, but the flavours just weren't there.

We are regular Shyun customers . The food never fails to disappoint. However we have resorted to coming on weekdays due to the weekend surcharge

Great for family dinner, teenage kids love the vibe and reminds us of our trip to Japan

The new location is fantastic! Still always busy so you need to book a table a few days in advance

Shyun is a family favourite. The kids love the katsu chicken bowl and we love the bento boxes and sushi. Always top quality. Just for awareness there is a Saturday surcharge of 5% and a credit card surcharge which is a new addition.

Excellent speedy service and very tasty food! Highly recommended. Must book in advance.

I had tried three different kinds of sashimi on rice in my recent visits. $18.9 diced sashimi $24.9 regular $29.9 premium The premium sashimi on rice is value for money in consideration of types of fish/seafood provided and the freshness. Paying the extra dollars is worth it.

Came here on a Friday night, it was quite busy but our food came quickly and everything was delicious! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Will definitely be back.

I felt the menu was limited. I preferred the old shuyn. Very busy restaurant. They bought all our courses out at once. At a small table for two. I had to ask them to slow down. The food we ordered was good but I felt that some traditional Japanese items were missing. Also prices far more expensive than the old Shuyn

The fillet, caramelised to a glossy, sweet-savoury crust, flakes apart at the mere touch of a chopstick, revealing pearlescent, moist flesh that has absorbed the deep, umami-rich flavours of the miso marinade perfectly. Equally compelling are the small plates, like the Gyoza, with their impossibly thin, crisp casing giving way to a juicy, well-seasoned pork and vegetable filling. Each dish is a complete, harmonious thought on a plate.

The journey begins with the sushi, and here, Shyun doesn't just meet expectations—it obliterates them. The Chef’s Omakase Sashimi Platter is a breathtaking work of art. Each slice of fish, from the buttery, rich toro to the sweet, translucent scallop, is a testament to pristine sourcing and expert knife skills. The tuna melts on the tongue with a clean, oceanic freshness, while the hamachi offers a uniquely robust flavour. It’s clear that the chefs at Shyun are not just cooks; they are artisans who understand that the ultimate respect for their ingredient is to enhance, not overpower, its natural essence.

Had the assorted tempura soba, mega chirashi and tempura prawn roll. All are very delicious but the assorted tempura were crispy but a bit oily.

We enjoyed the food but the tempura was a little oily.

Would be better if they had ordering table service, so they could recommend and suggest.
