Sale Pepe Pizzeria - Brookvale

We've been at this restaurant atleast 5 times but something has changed in the last 3 months or so. We waited 90 min for a focaccia entree and pasta main. It seems most time is spend on delivering food to the brewery next door. The pasta sauce was so sour we could hardly eat it and my wife and child just pecked at it. I was so hungry I just struggled on. They offered a diffrent pasta dish but we didnt want to wait again so they gave us $11 discount on a $141 bill.

Great place, great ambiance. We had a group of boys that enjoyed that they had the outdoor area for play after the pizzas. And the parents enjoyed the next door brewery while waiting for the boys to finish.

The pizzas themselves were great . The pasta with seafood was not. Had a very strong fishy smell. The seafood was obviously frozen and had a watery texture and a strange flavour. No chilli or garlic was noticeable (as per menu). Very amateurish for this type of restaurant. We had two vegans so I called before to make sure there were vegan options. I was assured that they could adapt the dishes to suit, but the waitress had no idea and was not helpful at all in suggesting anything. In the end a vegan risotto was ordered which had zero salt or flavour. Watery texture... just unacceptable! The service Was lackluster to say the least. Would never go back with a large group. Maybe only for pizza

The pizzas are delicious but the wait staff were not. We waited over an hour for our food, only to have to go and ask someone as no one came to our table at all in that time. Our docket hadn’t made it to the kitchen 😖 We also had to go and ask for someone to come back to our table to take the kids ice cream order and again when we wanted the bill. This was not due to them being busy as half an hour after we sat down we were only one of six tables. We were given a complementary tiramisu which my husband enjoyed (I’m allergic to caffeine) so I wasn’t a happy person.

Friendly staff, nice food, setting ok, pizza tasted great. Would recommend

The first 2 pizzas were cold we didn’t get our olives and overall not as good as usual.

Good friendly service though waiting time was a bit long, it was a busy night though. Food is always good at reasonable prices and a lively atmosphere albeit noisy. A convenient local Italian for an impromptu dinner out.

We were a group of 8 ladies. Shared all the food between us, so we had a great range to taste from. All excellent. Enjoyed the night. Will go back again soon

Pasta is always good but my LINGUINE ALLO SCOGLIO was lacking a little sauce tonight.

I was so surprised. Was dubious about location but that was soon dispelled. Great food, great night, loved it. Will definitely be back very soon.

Our visit was on a Saturday night. sat down at 6pm, ordered and waited. Our entre - garlic pizza - came out 45 mins later, and our main pizza and pasta another 30 mins later. it feels too cramped for the space, and seems that they are trying to cram too many tables into a space to capitilise on profits. Food was pretty good though, so if we return it will be for takeaway or ordering online.

Happy atmosphere and tasty, authentic Italian food as always. And a fantastic Italian espresso to finish.

Usually good, but this time they were clearly overwhelmed by the crowd, long wait to get served, no wine glasses available, entree's still frozen in middle (aranchini), of the 4 mussles in the pasta main only 1 was open indicating not fresh or not cooked properly or both, very very noisy, hard to relax and hear conversation, 1 waitress good others indifferent, may go back but not on a Saturday night.

ok food was excellent, we did sit outside but we prefer it abit quieter, sure plenty of people inside, we dined with two kids (13 year olds).
