I had the Eggs Benedict, perfect ratio of sauce, bacon and spinach. Eggs were perfectly gooey when broken open. And the toast wasn't too toasted, so I didn't need a steak knife/chainsaw to cut through them. My favourite place!

Great service, lovely atmosphere, yummy food, and a cute kids area so we could eat in peace! What more could we ask for!

We were a group of 8. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The room was busy but our meals came out in good time and all together. The service was pleasant and helpful. Our only suggestion is to expand the dessert menu as some of our guests don't like tiramisu so then no-one at our table ordered any dessert. Looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work!

Cafe has had a major decor facelift and is absolutely buzzing. Congratulations on what appears to h a thriving business.

Great venue, large interior. Unfortunately lots of hard surfaces for sound to bounce off, so very noisy. Although school holidays lots of small children and mum’s busy enjoying their coffee and catch up. Suggest parents be more mindful and utilise the space provided for children. I’m not a grumpy old person, I work in a primary school, but screaming children and banging of instruments doesn’t make my catch up enjoyable. Noise level was awful! I feel for the staff putting up with this.

I love coming here. The food is fabulous and it's easy with a group because you can pay separately.

We appreciate that the cafe was busy but 2 meals took over an hour to arrive at our table and they were both incorrect... The service staff were apologetic and nice Love the kids area

The staff at Pimlott & Strand were fantastic. They were very helpful and friendly. The meal was well portioned, very yummy, and was more than I could eat. They even let me take home what I couldn't eat. The management should be proud of the atmosphere and the feeling of homeliness that comes across in all aspects of the cafe. The food was fresh, good quantity, very tasty, service friendly and pretty prompt. Everyone is catered for in a comprehensive menu and gluten free options. Ice for your drinks and clean. Great that there is a kids corner for young mums to be able to eat out too. It was noisy but only from people having a good laugh and its that kind of place- for friends to gather and relax. A real hidden gem.

Delicious, fresh homemade cakes and pastries along with wholesome breakfast choices (+coffees) all served with good energy and smiles. The experience is further enhanced by the takeaway choices from the largely Italian deli - my favourite is the polenta and meatballs. Or is it the gnocchi and ragu ..? (I also love buying the French Batard.) Thank you Pimlott and Strand.

I do usually enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, the fabulous food, both savory and sweet, and team who serve us. My only critic, is that screaming children don't make for a pleasant atmosphere and it makes having a conversation difficult, when you are trying to block out the screams etc, you obviously, don't hear the other person trying to talk. Apart from that, I'm looking forward to coming back.

Great food and coffee as usual. They are ensuring all surfaces are wiped down regularly and tables aren't crammed in to facilitate social distancing. Will keep going back.
