Too noisy and no sushi train. No good for an intimate dinner.

Not COVID safe. Shared soy sauce bottles, open ginger pots on tables with multi diner usage. Ongoing arriving guest standing around our table. All the staff concentrated on was getting as many tables filled and replaced. Fine in a perfect world. Not the experience I wanted.

Great taste and price was reasonable would be great to go to post covid

Disappointing. I've been there many times but not for months. Service was patchy although the waiter we eventually got was good. Had to ask for menus etc. Food was ok. I probably wouldn't bother going again.

The food was delicious. We chose all vegetarian options and everything was excellent. Also nice wine list!

Wonderful sushi, well prepared tacos and tempura, good choice of japanese beers and sake. Efficient service with a smile and tables outside and inside offering respite from the heta if necessary. Try the zeke tacos!

This is a restaurant where we have always enjoyed superb quality food over many years of attendance. We have our favourite dishes but the specials are always amazing too! The service is always friendly and helpful. A fabulous Bryon restaurant!

Although most of the chefs are Japanese, and the quality of the food is okay, the food is not authentic 和食。O-sushi is not alone in this respect, there is a niche to be filled by authentic Japanese food in the Byron area. For example, with so much amazing local fish all around it is hard to understand why salmon is so over used. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The sushis were great, the staff were friendly and the dessert wine is to die for!! We had a great night at this restaurant and would definitely be back.

Slowest service I've ever had before. Food was nice but the slow service and wrong drink orders is enough of a deterrence to return again.

Service and food were exceptional! Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the Kingfish Salad and the deep fried eggplant... both incredible! Always my first choice for sushi in Byron Bay.

Wonderful food and service. The only negative was they shut early - we wanted to sit around and chat with old friends we hadn't seen for many years.

Normally we love the food but we were disappointed with the mains. Particularly the beef salad - consisting of baby spinach leaves and cold meat.

Excellent and friendly service; very good variety on the menu; all selections were delicious. The restaurant is well located and accessible, away from the central district of Byron, which is overcrowded.

Great service, lovely fresh food with excellent variety of choices including for vegetarians (there was a whole separate menu), well priced. We would definitely go back to try the sushi train and recommend.

Whilst the food was great the dinner experience was a bitter disappointment. Confirmed our booking that afternoon, arrived on time 7.30, wine of our choice out of stock, nothing serious, next choice the sent what they wanted to, then all the food arrived at once, wanted to order additional dishes told kitchen closed 8.00 paid and left at 8.30. What was to be a family dinner of 8 turned out to be a miserable experience. Still waiting for the owner to contact me. Would I recommend or go back.NO

Food was great, fresh and delicious. Service was amazing, and they were all so lovely, friendly and caring. What more can we say except we loved it.
