Booked the restaurant for a birthday lunch and while the venue and vista was absolutely stunning, the experience unfortunately was very disappointing. Firstly we had perused the menu on line and was excited with some of the options we had. On arrival we were told the menu had changed but hadn't been changed on the website yet. We were offered a choice of 4 mains and 4 desserts (however none of the choices we had premade were on the new menu) and when we went to order we found that there was actually only 3 choices of mains and 3 choices for dessert as two were unavailable. When our order arrived we had only one main dish although we had ordered one each. The birthday boy then had to wait until a new dish was cooked before getting his main. To top it off, the short black he ordered was definitely not short. Although a discount was given when the bill was paid, the experience on the day was far from a 'special birthday treat' and extremely disappointing, especially considering we had travelled a distance with the hopes of a special day.
Background music could be softer/ quieter Lovely outlook, friendly staff and good space between tables. The Veal scallopini dish was disappointing as it was crumbed ( should it have been labeled as a veal schnitzel.) as scallopini cooking descriptor.is a light flouring and then pan fried for a few minutes and served with a pan sauce) King fish was moist and tasty but the dish was advertised as being served with coastal greens ( which we had to request and when provided - was a tiny amount to share between 3 king fish diners ) Bread and butter plates were part of the table setting and I was hoping there would have been offered a bread roll or slice of house bread as complimentary Surcharge for payment by card - found this quite irksome as the reason for the surcharge was advertised as keeping your prices down. My meal cost $78 - for 1 main plus a share of sides and a glass of champagne.
Good thank you very much wine was great thanks again
We have dined at Quandoo on a number of occasions and on each we continue to be impressed with the service, the food, the great views. It never disappoints. Signed Michelle and Jonathan Lange
Orani was lovely. We are already planning our next vist
Overall good, but It was a very disappointing when my friend ordered the salad and asked if it could be served as a main instead of entree, and if not if she could perhaps have some bread with it and the answer came back as NO to both requests! Almost spoiled my experience, but being in a group I let it go!
Your website had a different menu - we had all picked off that menu and it wasn’t available !
We went for Saturday lunch and had booked and checked the menu to ensure it suited our tastes. When we arrived we were told the menu had changed to a more upmarket (expensive) menu, which we thought was more suited to dinner than lunch. Mains were nice, but when it came to dessert 1 of the 3 options wasn't available which meant 2 of us declined dessert. When leaving we saw other cakes on display so thought we could have been offered these as alternatives but that option wasn't mentioned to us. So overall, venue and location were lovely, but disappointed the website wasn't updated to reflect current menu and also that with only 3 desserts on the menu the chef couldn't ensure all 3 were available for the weekend patrons.
Booked for a birthday breakfast for my husband. It was a buffet which we would normally not have but didn’t know until we arrived. The food was average at best and looked like it had been sitting in the warmer for a while. We did get eggs freshly cooked but that’s where it ended. The toast took forever to cook and we had to go and ask where our coffee order was. Unfortunately I could have had a better meal at a cafe. The price of $70 for what we got was excessive for what we were delivered. First time visiting this restaurant and won’t be back
The chef cooked the steak to perfection and the food was delicious
The food we ordered was good, but the portions very small for the price we paid. The service was extremely slow (my swiss visitors were not impressed, nor was I ) ! It looked like you are short of staff. The people who served us were very friendly. It would be such a lovely place with nice views.
The food was really good, the market fish was absolutely delicious and also in a perfectly balanced meal with champagne hollandaise, onion/shallot, and the best asparagus I’ve ever had. The lemon meringue tart was also scrumptious. The view was perfect and there was plenty of room around the table for a pushchair. However, when I booked, I wasn’t informed it was a set menu for Valentine’s Day, I was there with my mother and baby and it wouldn’t have been our choice so that was a little frustrating not being told that. Also wheelchair access not well signposted into the restaurant.
What a wonderful venue - Food, atmosphere & service were amazing. I would recommend a meal here to any visitors and locals.
Menu was extremely disappointing, overall food was nice but the lunch and dinner menu were exactly the same with only a few options. For a winery to have no cheese, fresh seafood or pizza was surprising. Food options were very basic pub style. Would not recommend.
We were served by Dawid who was very friendly and made us a cocktail that wasn't on the menu which we appreciated. We'll be back.
I was pleasantly surprised after bad reviews and previous visits there has been a big improvement. The food and service was excellent.
Great place for lunch. Good food in a nice location with friendly staff. Highly recommend
