We started our Melbourne staycation with an evening meal at OPPEN where we’d previously enjoyed brunch a few times. Our dinner was an absolute delight! We had the ham croquette that was delicious and came with a sweet sauce compliment; the house made focaccia with anchovy butter was heaven; the meatballs with pomme purée, gravy and pickled cucumber was surprising, comforting and beautiful; the fried and barramundi were both wonderful. Loved my grapefruit margarita too. The staff were lovely and attentive and the meal was well priced. Looking forward to a return visit!

Food was not good enough for the price. Staff is friendly but we had to look for them to do the order and asking for more tap water. The sauce in the baked eggs were too spicy, the eggs were too soft and it was advertised in the menu. I felt I was eating a thick soup.The hot chocolate was not hot enough and they didn’t mix it properly. I was drinking mainly milk and the chocolate was mainly in the bottom of the cup. Place is nice and have a good vibe.

What a refreshing menu! Great vegetarian options, lovely variety and excellent coffee. Looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
