We had a wonderful time celebrating Father's day here. The food was great, the staff were attentive and friendly. The place is spacious compared to other Okami restaurants that we have been.

We took our grandson here for his birthday as he was keen to try Japanese cuisine. There was a queue waiting when we arrived. A good sign. We were seated promptly and our waitress appeared almost immediately. We had decided to have the “all-you-can-eat” menu which consisted mainly of smaller sized tasting portions. From that, we reordered our favourites. If you prefer large portions of one or two dishes, you are better to order from the a la carte menu. Courses were delivered in good time, and the food was amazing. Our grandson have an extensive range from which to choose to satisfy his desire to try Japanese food. We all had plenty to eat. I love their Food Wastage policy, where you have to pay for any significant amounts of food ordered but not eaten. The place was full and when we left there was a line of people waiting to get in. Testament to the quality of food and service.

Best meal I've had in a long time. Portion sizes were great, customer and table service was A1 tops. Best Japanese food I've eaten in a very long time. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely going back 🙂

Walked in and was surprised how quiet it was, but the restaurant did fill up a bit. Was shown to out table and every seat was ripped and a quick glance around the restaurant showed that most seats were ripped - not a good look. The waitress who served us gave the impression that this was the last place on earth she wanted to be, not rude but not very welcoming. Thankfully the food was amazing. Every dish that we ordered was delicious and made the ripped chairs and average attitude of wait staff bearable. I love Okami and the food they offer, a little smile is not asking too much from the wait staff. Maybe also spend some money and buy some new chairs, will make the appearance of the restaurant so much better. Overall an enjoyable evening.

First time at this Okami. Nice and new decor, attentive staff, clean tables, cutlery, glasses/cups and plates. Food was all fresh. Definitely will be back!

Not good. Empty plates on the table were not collected and were piling up. Most of my orders were not served. Too bad for a birthday dinner.

Portions were very small compared to other Okami restaurants. Main size meals the size for an infant. With only 2 hours for a sitting you were constantly ordering food all the time again & again.

Okami Whittlesea is our grandsons' favourite place to eat. The food and service are always good.

Food came out slow. Very average tasting too. Very crowded restaurant.

It was ok, greensborough is alot better overall. After asking 4 different wait staff where our food was, most of it came out 40 mins later. Some food we didn't see at all. The food that did come out was good. 1 waitress, was either having a bad or didn't want to be there. Overall it was ok but wouldn't rush back.
