The food at Okami is delicious and the service is excellent. The restaurant is a always extremely crowded, obviously due to its food, but there is very little ambiance and it's incredibly noisy. It won't stop us going there because of the good food and reasonable price. It's great there us a discount for those over 60 years old age.

Great food, awesome price. If you love Japanese food I would recommend trying it.

Food was delicious. Wait staff just need to be a little more attentive and clean tables quicker especially for larger tables that order more food.

Food was good, service from the kitchen was fast but had to keep getting the waiters attention to order . The staff were friendly.

It was a quite busy Saturday night, the food was very nice, there wasn’t to much of a wait for the food considering how busy it was. At times it was hard to hear the people at my table due to the loudness of the other dinners. But we were very happy with our visit, thank you

Restaurant very noisy and over crowded. Food was average and pre cooked, not cooked to order. Felt more like a fast food restaurant more than a casual dining. Wouldn’t return.

I love Okami! It's always a great time, great value for money. The food is fantastic. It is very loud and sometimes it feels crowded, as long as you keep it at 4 people max you'll have a great time and have no issues. Thanks guys!

Always loud but service was terrible. Did not bring out what we ordered. Had to reorder several times. Have dined here many times but service seems to be deteriorating.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. Long waits on some dishes with can be frustrating if there is something that someone is waiting for i.e. we waited most of the meal for some of the vegetarian food, which was hard as all the meat came out and some people had nothing to eat. Also portions sizes are not always consistant.

The service was terrible - they were rude and did not bring what we had ordered. Soup was brought to the table after mains were finished. Steamed rice brought to the table 20 mins after the main was served. Noisy and rude - would never go back.

Wonderful as always..on this occasion I have to give a shout out to the manageress..she was short staffed, but kept her eye and finger on the pulse the entire evening, she navigated between ordering, serving and directing staff and managed to run the register when the meals ended. A true inspiration and made us fell welcome and well looked after.

Have been wanting to take the family here for a while but always booked out. Oh my Lordy was it worth the wait!!!! Food was Delicious and the variety was amazing. We walked in with one belly walked out with two!!!! The staff also were brilliant making sure we always had several courses in front of us. Thank you so much 😊Will definitely be returning

Food is always amazing! Fresh, fast and delicious 😋 However we requested a table which would need to fit two prams (we have 2, 5 month olds) and when we got to our table there was barely enough room for one pram let alone two. When we approached the staff we were told they had to allow more space for people instead of the prams! It was my birthday dinner and my son was squashed behind me and close to another table, the lady couldn’t even get out of her chair. Then we when we were ordering we were told by our waitress what we could and couldn’t order. She said that we had ordered enough for our table. We tried to explain that we had vegetarians at our table and she still insisted we had ordered enough. There were sooo many people in there, we couldn’t even hear each other to have a conversation. I would suggest that you look at providing better customer service instead of getting more revenue or perhaps look at a bigger venue.

We had a great time at Okami Frankston with party of 9. Staff was very helpful and nice and service quick. Could not fault anything else except it was quite noisy in the restaurant, with a longer table it was hard to hear the other end. Otherwise very good.

Overall good experience with very nice food well presented, good value for money. However noise level is a serious problem and has led us to go there less often than we otherwise would. Can I suggest installation of noise absorbing material on ceiling and noise absorbing panels suspended from ceiling. We have noticed how effective these are in other venues.
