Okami - Fairfield

i had attended to Fairfield branch as a friend had recommend it to me. i usually go to Brunswick which is a great restaurant. the atmosphere is great and the restaurant is larger and somewhat quieter than Brunswick which is great, however upon placing our first order, we were told that we cannot order too many of the same dish as it would cramp the table. we had to order a small number then order more once finished with the dishes received. i thought that was a little annoying as we would only have to wait longer to get the rest of the dishes. this is the only aspect I would fault at the Fairfield branch. food was good as expected and the service was fine also other than the initial incident.

The food was amazing, better than I had expected, great friendly service, food was brought out fast. The atmosphere was lovely. Great value, will 100% come again

Food was good. Ordered and came out quickly, even for a busy Saturday night. Really enjoyed the beef carpaccio, miso steak and fried rice. Perfect portion sizes and we were left really so full! Would go back again

I have been to a few Okami Restaurants but Fairfield has by far been the best! All the dishes we had (and we tried just about everything!) were fresh and delicious. The teriyaki steak was "melt in your mouth" and the prawns were very, very fresh! Service was quick and the hot food was piping hot. Will definitely spread the word about this place!

Good food, relatively well priced - like any buffet, how much food you eat determines whether or not it's worth it. Pretty decent variety as well, would've liked to see a few more desserts. Friendly staff as well.

Excellent service. Food was excellent and the waiters were very attentive. I am very pleased with my meal tonight and I will be going again and it was also at a very good price.

Great food, pleny of it and wonderful service. The waitress was very sweet. The only drawback was that it was a bit noisy in the restaurant.

Great staff, great food, the tempura and teriyaki beef were really nice. The food was served very fast, a lot faster than the Camberwell Okami.

This place is amazing! The food was incredible the staff were so lovely! The idea behind this place is unreal! So much to choose from and such good amounts of each dish! Pricing is perfect! Can’t wait to go back

Food is great (just avoid the fried stuff, the rest is delicious) and service was friendly, though a bit patchy at times, but to be fair the restaurant was completely full. Great value for money, and very family-friendly at the first sitting session. Liked it so much that we’ve been back again! Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service. Staff are friendly and very much always available. Definitely recommend to all for a great dining experience with family and/or friends.

Went here with the kids was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised we thought that the food and service was good for what you pay

Good atmosphere and service. Not sure if all the food is made fresh, vegetable gyoza looked like the ones you buy frozen from the supermarket.

Excellent food. Quick service and very affordable. Staff were friendly and quick. Noise levels were a little high but here were a number of families in there that were noisyZ

Just so brilliant. Wonderful food, lots of vegetarian options, great fun having an all you can eat menu. I wish I could say more, but I am slipping into a food coma.....

Lovely restaurant & Staff were wonderful & food delicious. It's a great way to fill up a hungry teenager with lots of choices & perfect portions coming out over the course of the night. We will be back

Service was a little slow despite the restaurant not being very crowded especially compared to the Footscray chain. Food an atmosphere was great as usual though.

Forgot 1 of our orders, took some time for staff to come over to check if we wanted to order more food. Otherwise food came out rather quickly and was of good quality. Some of the portions were on the small size.

Great service and high-quality foods, the location is good to park my car, several types of food can be chosen, staffs are very friendly as well.

Food was quick and in large portions. Quality was alright, it’s a buffet after all. Service was friendly and a bit slow but they seemed quite busy. If you’ve got big eaters this place is definitely worth it’s value!

Quality fresh food in every dish we tried and also very tasty, staff were great, very friendly and also very quick to remove empty dishes, this was my 4th Okami restaurant I have eaten in and it was top of the list.

Beef carpaccio, miso eggplant and agedashi tofu are to die for!! Everyhing else is good too and the service is great. Have been twice now.

Delightful and authentic but slightly limited menu for All You Can Eat. Food is great quality. Service is good. Will certainly go back. Few vegetarian options but excellent steak options. Have yet to try a la carte menu.

Clean and well-presented venue. Great customer service with attentive wait staff. I have been to other Okami restaurants and this had by far the best service.

A good restaurant to take children to - plenty of choice although some of the selections were a little disappointing in quality. The staff were friendly.

I went for all-you-can-eat lunch on Sunday. Good range of food to choose from and all very tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely return.

This is the third Okami Restaurant we have tried and they all rate so highly. We had a very nice evening with many Japanese platters all cooked to perfection. From Sushi Rolls to the Sesame seed ice-cream, what a delight.

Good food, service was slow, it took a very long time for us to be seated and served. One of our meals was forgotten and when we asked to cancel, it was brought out anyway.

Second time we've dined at Okami Fairfield and once again not disappointed. Excellent food, great service. Definately will be going back! Great addition to Station St Fairfield.

Gorgeous new interior and sleek menu design, friendly and highly attentive staff, the whole ‘all you can eat’ experience was quick and easy - and the food was phenomenal!

For a all you can eat joint, it’s pretty good! Some foods are fresh and delicious and some are mediocre, but overall, I’m satisfied with the service and money well spent, will go back again.
