Okami - Chelsea Heights

There were 6 of us at okami for bday dinner Service was friendly and fast. Seemed to be full house on a Friday night was very busy and very noisy which was the only negative. Food was very good came out quickly was delicious and service was great to.

Loved eating there have only ever done the takeaway in the past. Would thoroughly recommend the food is very fresh and tasty. The all you can eat is an awesome experience and all the staff are lovely.

The place was spacious not like other okami restaurants we’ve been to, food was great, staff was great except for one cos there’s one dish we didn’t like and couldn’t eat it and she gave us the look of disgust would have been a perfect night, thank you very much....

The staff were friendly at first. But we had to call them over many times for service. We had to call them over for drinks & to take our order otherwise we would have been waiting a very long time. There were many people & it was extremely loud. The acoustics were so bad & we could barely hear each other at the table. Interesting experience but I'm not sure I would go again to Okami. The food was okay, a little bland though. Sorry, not overly enjoyable.

Food isn’t bad but isn’t anything special. Tried most of the chicken dishes and a steak and beef dish. The sushi isn’t the greatest but isn’t bad. Had a nice time overall though.

Great food, great service and definitely worth the money. It was a bit noisy, so not great if you are wanting intimate conversation, but if you are out for a fun night it great. Family friendly. Lots of variety. We will be returning and recommending to others.

We ordered food got all our order except for one that I was waiting for, I saw the next table of young teen age girls that all the food went to them and we ordered before them we got in the restaurant before them and if it was not for my husband that asked I would not have gotten my food, LONG WAIT for food to arrive, the other thing is it was so so cold with the air conditioner I saw a little girl wearing a top and shorts shaking pointing to the air con because it was so cold, and not to mention the noise of the drunken table next to ours they should have asked diners if they drink alcohol or not then separate them because we were there to just eat but most of the tables beside ours made so much noises as they are getting drunk, OUR VERY FIRST TIME THERE BUT WHAT NOT WORTH THE $34.80. We were at Okami HAMPTON on New Years Day, tell you what IT WAS THE BEST with ANTHONY who looks after our table. Man it was an unforgettable experience for the first there. Food was great, fresh and very quick to receive no matter how busy and full the restaurant is. We'll never go back to Chelsea. We just wanted to try it.

Great place to eat. All okami restaurants are pretty much the same although this one was newer. Service could have been a bit better but was very busy

It was very noisy there, we couldn’t even talk. Table seating was too close, there should be distances between tables at least 1.5 metres. Food and service were great.

The concept of ordering whatever you like from the menu at a set price is fantastic as you get to try foods that you may not try otherwise. The food is delicious and great value. The drinks are good prices too - and you can even BYO wine if you like ($5 corkage per bottle). Not long wait for the food although there was a bit of wait for drinks. Definitely recommend this restaurant and have already made plans to return!
