Okami - Chelsea Heights

Great food, great service and definitely worth the money. It was a bit noisy, so not great if you are wanting intimate conversation, but if you are out for a fun night it great. Family friendly. Lots of variety. We will be returning and recommending to others.

We ordered food got all our order except for one that I was waiting for, I saw the next table of young teen age girls that all the food went to them and we ordered before them we got in the restaurant before them and if it was not for my husband that asked I would not have gotten my food, LONG WAIT for food to arrive, the other thing is it was so so cold with the air conditioner I saw a little girl wearing a top and shorts shaking pointing to the air con because it was so cold, and not to mention the noise of the drunken table next to ours they should have asked diners if they drink alcohol or not then separate them because we were there to just eat but most of the tables beside ours made so much noises as they are getting drunk, OUR VERY FIRST TIME THERE BUT WHAT NOT WORTH THE $34.80. We were at Okami HAMPTON on New Years Day, tell you what IT WAS THE BEST with ANTHONY who looks after our table. Man it was an unforgettable experience for the first there. Food was great, fresh and very quick to receive no matter how busy and full the restaurant is. We'll never go back to Chelsea. We just wanted to try it.

Great place to eat. All okami restaurants are pretty much the same although this one was newer. Service could have been a bit better but was very busy

It was very noisy there, we couldn’t even talk. Table seating was too close, there should be distances between tables at least 1.5 metres. Food and service were great.

The concept of ordering whatever you like from the menu at a set price is fantastic as you get to try foods that you may not try otherwise. The food is delicious and great value. The drinks are good prices too - and you can even BYO wine if you like ($5 corkage per bottle). Not long wait for the food although there was a bit of wait for drinks. Definitely recommend this restaurant and have already made plans to return!

Some of my orders never came. I have asked staff there a few times whether they had my order? There were times when all I’m doing is sitting there waiting. At the end, ice cream came after last order and I asked about my original order. They offered to bring it out then but does that mean I have to eat my ice cream and then go back to my savoury food? They were obviously in a rush to finish so I said not to worry. It’s disappointing

Very friendly staff, very attentive and food comes out quite fast. Good quality food for the value. Only thing I’d suggest is adding padding around the place to reduce the noise level. Very loud, as are all the other franchises.

Great service, I think a couple of my dishes were forgotten about but that wasn't an issue as it was easy to re order and waitresses were constantly checking in and were amazing

staff and food were brilliant, couldnt fault those 2 things but the place is very noisy. i think the partition wall needs to be closed in to help with the noise
