Its always good to celebrate birthdays here in Okami with unlimited buffet Japanese Food. Highly recommended!
The food was fresh and amazing and we didn't have to wait long
Restaurant opens at 5pm on the dot so can't go in and be seated before. Got to front desk and waited several minutes before staff member even acknowledged me. Another staff member rushed through the introduction so could only just grasp how to order via app. All felt very transactional. Food was decent. Have been once before with a smaller party and someone took our order. Was nicer then. Restaurant is dark and enclosed, not the best vibe. Don't know if we'll be back. May do, just for convenience. OK for a quick family meal but wouldn't have an occasion or treat guests to a meal there. Have been to Hoppers Crossing and a lighter, more spacious venue, customer service was a bit better there too.
Good food, friendly staff, but a little disorganized, for me seven of ten
So nice to have Unlimited Japanese Food. We are so full after and still manage to ate the desserts

Towards the end it was quite loud. Over all, very good food
The main staff member that seated us was not helpful at all. Didn’t bother to tell us how to order from the QR code, didn’t check on us through out the meal. I had to constantly try to get her attention to ask for something. Our finished plates were left for ages before being cleared
just the right portion sizes, staff were attentive and courteous

Was disappointed that u could only get one ice cream when u have kids with you and they want an ice cream but cant have another one coz they all ready have one mind you I have 2 kids so it would have been 2 more and they were only allowed 1 think it’s a bit harsh when you’re paying that money
Overall a disappointing experience. We were a table of 2, dining in on a Monday night. The food was being brought out very slowly, and when we received it, it was either warm or cold. After an hour had elapsed, we were still hungry. Despite ordering a lot of food, we hadn't received a majority of it. I saw tables around us who came in much later, getting more food, and more frequently. Many of the dishes we received also had chips in them and shouldn't be used. After an hour of an unsatisfactory experience, we explained to a waitress that we had barely received any food. She was exceptional, friendly, and understanding. All of the staff were a pleasure to deal with. We were told that only 1 chef wad working, and were apologised to. During the 2nd hour of our experience, food was coming out quicker, to the point where were struggling to finish it all. I think this particular location was understaffed and overwhelmed, which lead to a disjointed experience that left a lot to be desired.
It was a great experience to celebrate my kids birthday with family.
Small portions, Waiting times long, not allowed to order more than 3 times, food from 2 order came before 1st order

We totally enjoyed the food we all ate. As we notice the next day, our blood sugar went up or I would say skyrocketing the reading. We are a bit surprised or shocked to comprehend, thinking as a Japanese food it wouldn't have much impact on our sugar levels. Anyway, as always we love dining every now and then in Okami. Also the service is fantastic and helpful. My other disappointment, we ordered the Stir-fry Udon with Chicken and vegetables as take away. Hahaha! What a disaster. Very oily, soggy and it seemed cooked hurriedly. All I can say if next time, kindly please cook as it should be and take pride of the quality of food being served or to take away home. So we can appreciate nicely and dine in again. Thank you.

Great food, the menu is slightly different to the other Okami Restaurants which is nice. Service was fast at the beginning but gradually slowed down to the point no one was checking up on us and we had difficulty trying to get a waitresses attention.

We arrived and my mum is disabled she can’t walk far they take us all the way to the back. They don’t make an exception for us to sit in an area because they didn’t want to clean there again. Squeeze us into a small spot. Then the new online system was a joke to start with. You can’t track what you’ve ordered and you can’t place multiple orders which means you have to wait. So we finished our first round but because they hadn’t finished serving we couldn’t order again. It was such a bad experience. Staffing a bit short and we didn’t get our drinks til end of meal even after reminder twice. We won’t be dining at Caroline again.
Service was very rude , wasn’t greeted when arriving, asked what my name was and then pointed to a table. They’re were more concerned about food wastage then actually bringing food. Waited 30 minutes for steam rice ( which has to ask for after ordering 30 minute prior) then had nothing else come for 30 minutes which had to ask where the food was ( it was not busy 1/4 full the resturant , the people at the table next to us ordered multiple times since we did and got there food multiple times ) and was rudely told it is coming when I asked if ours was coming, then 10 minutes later was asked what we ordered as they didn’t know so around 40 minutes after receiving the rice, then the meat came so I asked for a new steam rice as it had gone cold and then watched the worker go to another worker and complain and laugh that I ordered a new one and then sarcastically hands me a new one saying here your hot rice . When food was given it was dropped on the table and then the worker when collecting would lean over us while we would be eating. This is the third bad experience at Caroline springs location and will not be going back to this location.
The staff were so lovely and the wait time was okay. Unfortunately, one of the friends we went with had a bad piece of fish and got food poisoning after eating here.

You can now order thorough QR codes not theoiugh waiters. We made an order and it came in dribs and drabs had to ask waiters to ask kitchen and waited for ages to receive certain foods. Food was yummy when it finally came out.

We booked the 7:45 session and food took so long to come. They didn’t bring many of the things we ordered and had to reorder and by 9 we were told kitchen was closing so had to make our final order. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing!
Customer service was horrible . We are regulars to okami and this was our worst experience. It felt like us being there was an inconvieniance to the staff . Nobody smiled . No thank you or your welcomes . Half the food we order by qr code we had to ask and remind staff to get us . We love okami but will not be returning to this store . They could learn from hoppers crossing and footscray which are both amazing experiences . Dissapointed !

An immensely enjoyable dining experience! Food was delicious, ambience was great, and service was excellent. It was even better than previous times; with a booth seat, ordering using your phone at your own pace and cute plates with a space for soy sauce! Loved it! Thank you!
