The food was tasteless, the meat was poor quality, the sushi was meagre and padded with non-fish pieces, the service was slow. This was a big change from my many other times at this restaurant. It seems like cost cutting is going on and it has wrecked the experience.

The good was excellent, the service was great and they took into account that it was my daughter’s birthday by reserving the best seats in the house and giving her a little something at the end. I would totally recommend this place on the food alone which was brilliant. I will be back

Okami is a unique experience with incredible quality for an “all you can eat” experience. It’s not the best for quiet chats, but if you’re coming to get some quality food and lots of it, then this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough.

I have always preferred Camberwell over most of the other restaurant locations. We come from Rowville to visit Camberwell Location. They have always been polite and gave great service. But this time it was good but not great. Very slow. I understand it was Valentine’s Day…but the manager knew it was Valentine’s Day. If they couldn’t staff the number they shouldn’t have accepted the bookings. It’s about the management on days like Valentines Day. Sorry guys not the best this time.

As we were not told this was a buffet all you can eat we were not aware we could order more food. The food portions were not great or quality. The waiters were not friendly at all and when we tried speaking with them they just walked away.

Not sure if they had a staffing issue but the wait times for ordering were so long and food taking even longer. Lucky I’ve been to this chain and enjoyed my time at other locations, because if this was my first impression I don’t think I would come back.

Too much noise - please install noise baffles. Waiters were brill, but one more waiter could have made our experience very pleasant as they were short-staffed. Food was great.

I’ve been going here all the time, it’s always a good experience. But this recent visit, the service was so slow. No waiters to attend orders and took ages for the food. Portions of some dishes got a bit smaller.

I went for sashimi but they can order plate with sushi. I told them I don't want those bad quality sushi and their rice too dry to enjoy. Hope they can only service plate of sashimi. But they can't, can only have sashimi and bad quality sushi plate. Even at my third plate, their sashimi reduce from 8 to 6 pieces nigiri sushi(at least some sashimi on top) reduce from 5 to 2 and more bad sushi. very unhappy with this force eating things I don't like

No mention on the website that one can not do the “All you can eat” they are known for. I walked out with no dinner. Won’t return even with others, which I’ve done before. Terribly disappointing experience.

To be honest no problem with the waiting times as one poor girl was doing the whole upper floor and it was jammed. Very noisy because it was jammed but no rowdiness, just lots of people talking.

Food was good as usual, consistent as always. But the manager at Okami Camberwell has changed. The previous manager was great - she always took super care of us, was kind and very service oriented. The service today was terrible - the new manager was rude and surly. How did someone like that get appointed to manage a restaurant? Just doesn’t have the personality to be customer oriented. Firstly, we had ordered the fried rice without egg for my 96 year old Dad who is vegan. When it arrived with egg, he kept insisting it could only come with egg. 2ndly, when he was clearing away the empty plates, he knocked over my Dad’s walking stick - didn’t bother to apologize or pick it up. We will never go back there again. Pls have a proper & better process for appointing your Retaurant managers as they are important for your business
