Wonderful food great family atmosphere will come back again soon

Always great food and service at Okamis. Ballarat restaurant has plenty of seating well spaced apart. Definitely will return for another enjoyable night there.

The waiters are so nice and helpful and an overall good atmosphere

I would have appreciate to have the dishes ordered come all together. E.g: plain steam rice with the chicken dish and not by itself and later the chicken. Or miso soup being serve first and not after the salads.

We drove up from Melbourne just to try the restaurant! The food was amazing. It was a bit noisy but the noise level dropped down throughout the night. The wait staff were hard to get their attention, they didn’t seem to make eye contact with the diners. Other than that it was a great night! Will definitely be back!

Excellent food. We usually go to Okami Caulfield and while at Ballarat decided to go to Okami Ballarat. We were not disappointed! Service is good, waitresses were quick and attentive. Food is definitely delicious.

Good and quick services, great food but limited (not many to choose from), friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended for an evening out. However, the price is a bit too dear I reckon.

Tonight was Valentines Day and I must say that considering this place had a full house, all the staff were truly excellent in tending to everyone’s needs ! My partner and I are from Melbourne and we travel all over Australia and around the world,. So we definitely know amazing food,service and decor when we see it. The decor was excellent because it had a lot of Japanese flair about it, which I truly love as I embrace the Japanese culture whole heartedly. So now I get to the part about the food and well... OUTSTANDING !!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Despite the flood of customers, the food came out in a timely manor and the waiters and waitress remained friendly in the rush. The flavours of every single dish, truly sent shivers down our spines, smiles on our faces, as we left with full bellies. Keep up the amazing work and you now have two ex Melbournians that will now become regulars here. Thank you from Glenn and Neil.

Service was terrific and the food was great. We were greeted with smiles on arrival and the meal was brought out very quickly. the staff took their time to explain the options of dining and the types of food available

Amazing and filling food. Wanted to keep ordering but was so full. The all you can eat is most defently worth it. When there for the first time tonight With my partner for our anniversary, and we will be going back for sure.

food is always nice, the two indian waiters dont understand their orders well, and takes some explaining, but everything else was good. always happy to come back.

Food was outstanding service however unless you caught their eye or spoke to the staff as they passed you, you would be waiting a while. Considering we were on the early sitting surely the priority is feed these people so we can get ready for round two!

An Absolutely Delicious Meal! My eyes were bigger than my stomach! Everything was perfect! The staff were lovely, the food well cooked and presented beautifully. A wonderful night out.

Delicious food but service was poor. Hard to get anyone’s attention, they all appeared to be roaming around doing little. Appeared to lack supervision and direction as were attending to jobs not service.

Great value. Decent Food. OK service. The selection of entrees was fantastic, not so much with the mains and deserts. Some staff were great, others not so much. Intermittent service. Sometimes they wouldn't leave you alone, sometime we waited for too long for service.

My second time at Okami Ballarat. Service was mostly good, two of the staff found it a little hard to understand orders and a couple of the items we ordered didnt arrive. Food was great, though the tempura was a little oily, perhaps the cooking tempature needs to be slightly increased. All round still a nice place to enjoy some Japanese. Always worth a visit :)

Okami Ballarat is always good in every way (food is brilliant, customer service is excellent, the price is acceptable). We always enjoy our time every time visiting Okami.

excellent food and friendly staff. good value. great place to bring a family to dine. plenty of choices on menu and well serviced - our 2nd visit and we will revisit.

The table we sat on was unbalanced and when the waiter brought water to the table it spilt over my father in-law. This happened twice through the night and then later a different waitress brought miso soup to the table and spilt this over another guest. We had to call the wait staff over several times to get served and to take plates away. The food was okay but the flavours were very different from a true authentic Japanese experience- the tonkotsu sauce was quite salty, the takoyaki had very little octopus in it and was quite overcooked on the outside and the spicy miso salmon was more a sauce than miso, as a few examples. For value, the price was quite reasonable overall and my Chinese guests seemed to be very happy with the food despite this being, in my view, a very western style Japanese experience.

Great food and quick service. Easy to feed and fill my late teen boys. If you enjoy Japanese food you won’t be disappointed. We are return customers.

This restaurant has great service and beautiful fresh food. We had the All You Can Eat buffet and it was amazing! I highly recommend Okami.
