Montezuma's - Glenelg

Some food on permanent menu not available, which strange for us eating@opening time& not dining on a sunday........ Understaffed4an early yet busy time of day, so longer than usual wait times4everything, even tho 1-2staff working their butts off on 12+tables, constantly moving between tables trying2service everyone& made no mistakes!! Once extra staff came on 1hour later, that's when all mistakes were being made=strange coz double staff on then but obviously new& not trained& not know what they doing!! Food as always freshly made with fresh ingredients to usual Montezuma standards!!! Banana margarita had strange chemical taste, not enjoyable@all in flavour, but got discount.....

Staff very accomodating. Food very tasty. The Tomale pies where to die for!

Coming here is addictive! We’ve dined here 2 weeks in a row. But the food is fab & plentiful so it’s no wonder! Great meal.

Montezumas is back to its original best!!!! And the vegan menu is fantastic!

Fab food and service as always. Tonight was busy & loud with lots of other diners, but staff were their friendly, efficient selves. The Queso tonight was on point!

We weren’t advised that the kitchen closes at 1.30 which left what was planned to be a long celebratory lunch feeling rushed and pressured, The food was great. The music didn’t add anything positive to the experience. We went to montezuma as it was where we went for dinner before my husband proposed 20 years ago. Unfortunately it was a very different experience to what we had expected.

Good, tasty food with friendly courteous staff. As usual an enjoyable Mexican feed.

Place is a little run-down, sticky tables. Food was extremely bland. Mexican food should be full of flavour, our burritos and tacos were tasteless.

Montezumas is a family favourite. Plenty of options for the kids as well as adults. Friendly service, but as usual understaffed so the poor staff are running around serving meals, making drinks as well as taking payments.

Another great meal. We appreciate the ability to purchase a combo meal and substitute one taco for another to really personalise the dish to our tastes. Drinks & entree came out in well under 3 minutes, so service was spot on again!

We had a really good waitress who was able to explain and recomend dishes to the people in our group who did not really know Mexican food. Plenty of veg/vegann options.

We always enjoy our experience at Montezuma’s at Glenelg. We go at a time when we know there will be not too many people so we have a quiet meal together.

They had run out of prawns so I couldn't have the Con Reacaudo, thought I'd try it with chicken. Bad idea, the chicken had no flavour and was dry, I think it was already cooked and then baked in the oven. My partners meal was lovely, he enjoyed it. They'd also run out of coke no sugar. For my part it was very disappointing, given that I've never had any complaints before. The waitresses were lovely, and extremely apologetic. It's not their fault. I'm a bit surprised that a slab of coke and a packet of prawns weren't brought in, I think that would have been a pretty simple solution.

Chilli Verde used to be a delicious spicy hot dish. Tonight’s dish had little or no chilli making it very bland. The rice was dry and unpleasant. Overall very disappointing

We visit occasionally for the $10 lunch special - 2 x tacos and a sangria. Great value. Today I tried the chorizo taco which is my new favourite.

Popped in for a quick Tuesday evening meal and was surprised to see it super busy! Staff just so lovely - as always - and apologetic for the wait. We didn’t mind as it meant time for an extra Marg & Corona!

Tried something different tonight and was not disappointed. Grab yourself a Montezuma’s delight - delish, Mexi-take on a salad.

Havent been to Glenelg Montezumas for a while. It was amazing as usual. Service friendly, food amazing really tasty. Always great, highly recommend this restaurant.

Montezumas is always lovely . Food was great and service was too , there were quite a few big tables and the 2 staff coped really well . The atmosphere was very buzzy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves . Chef is to be congratulated .
