Meet The Greek is one of the most respected Greek eateries in Sydney – acclaim that is not dished out lightly. It’s a safe assertion here, though, at this buzzing old-school restaurant in Brighton-le-Sands’ old ‘Little Greece’ huddle of restaurants on The Grand Parade. Meet The Greek has a vibrant atmosphere and great selection of drinks, and it’s a great sociable setting for getting together with friends or on special occasions, a place you can share a few drinks and delicious nibbles or sit down to a memorable meal. Meet The Greek delivers over and over again on any expectations when it comes to properly authentic Greek food.
Found in one of Sydney’s historic Greek neighbourhoods, this stylish venue on Brighton-le-Sands’ Grand Parade is stripped-back and has a quirky village feel, which fits well with the homely but refined meals on offer. This could easily be nana's cooking, from bubbling pots of moussaka to slow-roasted lamb shoulder. But you’d have to have a fancy granny to get it served up this beautifully, and an incredibly talented one for her to be able to whip up as many amazing plates as Meet The Greek’s team of chefs. An authentic charcoal grill and rotisserie are used frequently and seafood features prominently, but if you really can’t choose just go for a mix of meze plates or their special shared platters.
