Overall food was good, the wines were meh and the customer service was left wanting

Eaten in many restaurants. This was right up there. Thought about the eating marathin but eventually just went for oysters and beef with potatoes and asparagus. It was amazing. Went for a Torbreck Struie to compliment the beef. Service brilliant. I’ll be back. A real find.

The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and amazing. Just the right amount of time between meals to allow each course to settle. My girlfriend and I chose the premium set menu tonight and it did not disappoint. Make sure you are hungry. Lots and lots of delicious food 😊

Absolutely brilliant. We were greeted at the bar and welcomed in for pre-dinner drinks before the rest of our party arrived and we ventured upstairs to the attic. There we were greeted and welcome also and instantly made comfortable. Drinks were quick to arrive. The menu looked divine. Service and attention to detail was exemplary. The meal was superb. The chef is to be congratulated. We had a special diet in our group. Chef went out of his way to make her experience as good as the rest of us. My wife and I are not big eaters, but we ate everything that was put before us. The food was divine. Such flavours. The wine pairing was spot on. Excellent choices all round. Well done team Malt.

Disappointing, lacks quality paying top price , very small portions

Our waiter, May was delightful and very thoughtful. We had a tight schedule and she worked with us to fit everything in. We asked a bunch of questions and she was incredibly patient. We will go again.

It was our 35th Wedding anniversary and we were spoilt. Service friendly and efficient. we had the $89 degustation menu with paired wines and it was sensational. Huge portions and sososos tasty. It was great value for money and we rolled out of there very happy. We will definitely return the next time we are in Brisbane city.

The service was amazing, so friendly and professional and made us feel like a regular. The venue is so homely and with a style that almost makes you forget you’re in the city! I was most pleased I got the table I asked for in the restaurant! But the food, oh my goodness. The food was incredible! My wife is a foodie but I wouldn’t say I am but even I got lost in the flavours, textures and presentation! Just amazing, we had the best night and will be going back more often that’s for sure!

Beautiful food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Connor was attentive throughout the evening, which was appreciated and Chelsea in the pre-dinner drinks bar made a sensational cocktail.

Attending staff provided an enjoyable dinner service, they were knowledgeable of the menu, attentive without being intrusive.

We had an important business lunch with 8 people. Everything was great, drinks, foods, atmosphere, services. We will come back again soon. Highly recommended restaurant.

We ordered the lunch special $34 sandwich and drink. We clearly said this. The waitress rattled off the wines available. We made our choices, even reiterating 'if that's the house wine, then yes'. Unfortunately, when we came to pay, we were charged the sandwich plus the drink and not the special price. I questioned this and was told the wines we chose were not part of the special. I said this was unfortunate seeing as we made clear we asked for the special. Felt a bit like a purposeful 'mistake' on their end.

I was very amazed with its antique interior style and their customer service! Also the food was unique and delicious. I will definitely be back!

The food was beautifully prepared and the flavours were incredible. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Could not have been better. Only advice is meal portions are generous so the $89 set menu is a lot all of it delicious. Entree main and a side is a big meal you definitely won’t need dessert.

The restaurant had a really nice vibe. Great wine list. The food was nice if not exceptional, but certainly exceptionally SLOW. Wait staff were a bit indifferent. Arrived just before 7, took and hour to get our bread, then we had to scoff our mains to get to our 8:30pm engagement (which just as well was very close by).

Great option for a business meeting over lunch, set menu was an easy choice and food was plenty and delicious.

Malt is my favourite restaurant in the CBD. The food is always delicious with reasonable portions. The service is excellent and the ambiance makes it a pleasant to dine there. Not too much noise- easy to the conversation at the table. The consistency makes it a very pleasant restaurant to dine at.

Attentive staff and great little table near front bar window that was reserved for us. Quick service and delicious steak ! Good choice of wine and Scotch . They had run out of Balter though . Must be popular !

They absolutely suck. The fact that they are still in business makes no sense. I guess people in Brisbane just don’t deserve good food.
