We enjoyed our experience, We loved the atmosphere of the place. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The taste of the food brings me back to Philippines.
Really wish this restaurant was still open. I would have booked it often.
One of my favourite restaurant if I have a craving for Filipino food!
Good food and good service. We will be back here
great food for an affordable price. too bad they didn’t have sans rival that time. lechon kawali could’ve been crispier. maybe next time they will improve so we can take our parents there.
I found the food taste great. Ambiance is like old colonial Manila. Vegetarian selection as well. Service was great too. I would come back. :)
A really nice restaurant, not too noisy, ambiance is good and the staff members are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend going with a group of friends.
We find it hard to look for the place but nevertheless, the food was great and service was fast. The only down side for me is that the place is hot. I don't think they have an air condition running because they have electric fans. Definitely still coming back because of the food.
Went on a Monday night so it wasn't busy, didn't have to wait long for the food. Loved the Crispy Pata and Sinigang na Hipon. The Caldereta and Pancit Bihon were alright but not amazing.
Great Filipino food to be shared by your family or friends.
Food was below average. Rice was too big yet the dishes were small. Service was good though. Too loud music for a restaurant. Could be better
Great food. With its reasonable serving sizes, I was able to order a variety of dishes for my friends who haven't tried Filipino cuisine before.
Ambiance was nice, traditional filipino setting. Good filo food. Service was excellent. Try their crispy pata (pork crackling) and halo halo for dessert. Will go back!
Food is good and authentic but service needs improvement. It was not too busy that day and the waitresses were not serving customers, yet it was still difficult to catch the attention of the waitresses to the point where the chef in the open kitchen had to tell the waitress that we were asking for them.
I went to La Mesa for the 15th Anniversary buffet and the food was delicious! I would definitely go back to this restaurant. The employees were also very friendly.
Typical meal at the mesa. This is delicious and we have waited a normal time for a dinner. The desserts are originals and are very tasty.
Not the best Filipino food I have tasted but it’s good enough. The customer service was not at its best as well because when we went there we didn’t know that it was a buffet night and I was enquiring about the ala cartel menu. The lady at the counter was so rude and to reply that if we don’t want the buffet we can leave. That was a very awful cUstomer service experience.
Food was awesome! Hits all the right spots when you're craving for Filipino comfort food that's just like home. Will keep coming back for more.
We had a great night-food excellent Excellent service-staff were polite Looking forward to going there one day again got to try the crispy patta someday
Great service, incredible food. We had our Christmas Party at La Messa. The best pork I’ve ever had. Very fresh and tasty. We definitely will return soon. Morris
Great food that is fresh, and service that is warm. Not pretentious or over the top. Well done on 15 years in Sydney, we will be back.
Felt like inwas in the Philippines. Food was really amazing. Staffs are very accommodating. I really enjoyed my stayed in sydney because of this. Hope we could have one here in Melbourne
A fantastic authentic Philippino restaurant in the heart of the city. The dishes were generous and full of flavour. Also some daring options for hard core foodies.
We were after karaoke and we hot more what we were there for. We hoped there was more chances for other people to sing. Food was as expected. I hope they can add some more choices in their menu.
Excellent service and great food. Great atmosphere. I wish there were one out in the south western sydney areas too that would be great. Still nice place
Very reasonable price and good sharing food with friends and family. Food is delicious and staff is friendly. The restaurant decoration is lovely and traditional.
We were well looked after.food presentation was really great and staff very welcoming. Very happy with the branch ambience.would recommend this place to friends. Well done
Delicious Filipino cuisine. Worth it's weight in gold. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to try an Asian dish. Good location too.
Great food and service! A bit noisy due to the once a month karaoke night but we do not mind. Everyone seems to enjoy the singing.
Crispy Pata, Sisig, and Sago't Gulaman were good. Lumpia Shanghai, Dinuguan, and Okoy needs improvement. Rice served in a tin bowl is just not Filipino nor practical as it tips to one side and difficult to scoop out the compact mound of rice in this small tin bowl. A terracotta-like pot lined with banana or pandan leaves with wooden rice serving spoon or a platter would have been better. Lastly, the waitress could have been more pleasant as she never smiled the entire service time. You can't be in the service area if you can't provide a genuine, friendly service.
Food is great. Ambiance is amazing. Service is a bit slow but once the food arrived everyone is happy because food is flavourful. However, the servings are a bit small When the bill arrived, I (the only Filipina in the group) was not happy. I think the price is a bit overrated. Overall, it would have been great if the service is a bit faster, servings are generous considering the price and the ice crasher machine is kept somewhere where it is not heard by all the diners. Would I come back? Hmmmm....
Great food and really reasonably priced. Mixed entree is a great starter, then there is a wide selection of filipino standards like adobo, paella, sinigang, tocino, longanisa etc
Food quality, taste, serving size is very good. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. However the serving time is a downer. Overall good, authentic Filipino restaurant.
The environment was homely and inviting. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. The food was good. The dessert was alright. Not something that we like.
Staff very friendly and helpful with the menu, we appreciated the waiter's advice that 2 portions of their delicious pork was enough for 5 people, we were going to order 1 each. The oxtail soup he recommended was scrumptious. Didn't have to wait long for our dinner and there was no pressure to order more food. All of us would go there again.
Excellent food, though at times you felt a bit invisible to the staff, for example stood at the front desk waiting quite some time before we were noticed and taken to our table, despite staff members walking past without any acknowledgement we were there. Other than that the food was thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely return.
The food is very homely, the staff is hospitable-typical of a filipino trait. They made the place warm because it's winter and the prices are affordable.
The food was great, although, my wife being a professional cook; we would rate the taste as average. The presentation wasn't that good, and the service is just at par.
Food is great. Staff is great. Service is excellent. We've been to this restaurant many times before and we definitely recommend LaMesa to our immediate family and friends. Keep up the good work!
A delightful dining experience. Loved the food and the setting. all the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will be going back again in the future.
Food was ok. Probably wouldn't eat there again. Service was slow and poor. Our drinks took longer than the food and they ran out of so many dishes despite it being 7pm on a Friday night.
Great atmosphere plus delicious food! Had a great night here on karaoke night too, it was great seeing everyone involved and enjoying each other's company. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming!
Happy with the taste of the food but the portion of each dish is quite small for the price they are charging. Waitresses are polite but need to be organised more. We were a party of 12. Food took awhile to arrive and they missed a couple of our dishes until asked multiple times. It was a full house and they looked stressed out.
Unfortunately me and my partner didn't have a good experience at La Mesa. Really small portions, not fresh food, and bad experience with seafood plate.
Spent nearly $200 and it was the worst meal I have had in about 15 years. Any Philippine restaurant that cannot do a half decent adobo, crispy pasta or leche flan should not exist. Gives Pinoy food a bad name
Great Filipino food at this Sydney cbd eatery upstairs in Liverpool Street never too busy and always lovely staff here never disappointing always very fresh food
The food we had was pretty good and the service was nice as well. Overall, the whole dinner wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic either. I'd happily go back though on a night when the food was discounted.
Food was good. Service was great. It was a really good overall experience in a really good location. Couldn't of asked for more. Good job!
Great experience food was good and fresh. Really nice home cooked-feeling meals and nice servers as well. Happy it's very accessible in the city. We will definitely come back again!
Great authentic Filipino Food! Try the Crispy Pata and Kare Kare which are their signature dishes. Service was also quick and very friendly. I will definitely be back
