KooKoo Teppanyaki and Lounge Bar

The chef was fine, but the wait staff were vacant & disinterested. Mixed up our childs meal, so consequently he was only served a bowl of steamed rice. No meat, veg, spring roll or dessert. And our adult meal servings were much smaller than the party we shared the table with? We left hungry and they left lots on their plates to get thrown out. For the price, I would have expected much better service. Very very disappointed

First time visiting teppanyaki restaurant. small wait time but able to use time to order drinks and go through menu. It was a very entertaining experience, and great food. catered for dietary needs, which was most appreciated. value for money. I would recommend, and I can't wait to go again.

We were greated with friendly staff The Teppanyaki menu was explained to us we ordered first, then taken to our seats at the bbq table Everything was cooked perfectly Beef, chicken, barramundi, prawns, fried rice, veggies and miso soup

The restaurant urgently needs renovation—everything looks old and dirty. I had to ask multiple times for a small portion of mayonnaise because my daughter doesn’t eat rice without it. My husband and I finished our meals, yet we were still waiting for it so she could eat. On the third request, I even had to stand up and look for a staff member to ask again, saying, “It’s just mayonnaise, could you please bring it now?” The staff seemed more focused on cleaning tables for closing than checking on our empty glasses or offering more drinks. The food was okay, but I won’t be returning.

Amazing, Paolo, our cook as fantastic, great sense of humour. We had both the classic and gourmet. Heaps of food. Not cheap but you get both dinner and a show, well worth it. Great experience 👍

Our favourite place to eat when on holiday on the Gold Coast. The staff are fantastic. The cocktails are delicious. A wonderful night out for all the family.

Our chef was fantastic, the kids absolutely loved it and it went down as the best meal of our holiday. My son now wants to be a tapanyaki chef, despite us living in Yorkshire.

This is the 4th year in a row where we have visited Kookoo, I would say we’re up to almost 20 visits because it is our absolute favourite place to go for random date dinners, special events or just for a fun night out. We absolutely love the comedic aspect of dinner and the amazing taste is why we keep coming back!!

What a fantastic experience! The waitress who took our order kindly and patiently explained how and what to order and once we were seated at the grill the chef was just wonderfully entertaining, kind and very funny! Honestly, the food could have been boring and we still would have had a great night but it was delicious!! We will definitely be back.

Went to Kookoo for my friend's birthday. I had been there before a few times, but with them it was so much more fun with how the cook interacts with us clients. And the food wasn't that bad either :)

A pleasant teppanyaki experience, a bit amateur, no real teppan skill on display. Rushed service, our starters arrived after the main was served. The teppan chicken was so overcooked it was tough. It literally sat on the teppan drying out for 15 min after it was ready. Not the worst as food quality was ok but far from great.
