Overall a great experiences! Wagyu was so delicious. Definitely coming back again. Well done and great jobs team!
Very tasty meals. Beautifully presented and excellent service. Enjoyed this restaurant
Food was good and sashimi was fresh, too. Will go back again
The atmosphere was really nice! The rice bowls were also really good
Amazing ambient, delicious food, and quiet place. The price is a bit expensive but the quality follows it. Highly recommended.
Lovely service by the staff. The food is quality and the ambience of the place is exceptional
Excellent sushimi. Weird main courses, almost Korean, except Korean beef is better. Not a vegetable on the menu. Very poor wine list. One white wine. One red wine. One beer!!!. The waitress explained this was normal in Japan. She obviously has not been to Japan, I have, and this is not normal. And further, we are not in Japan. The five of us decided the experience was ok. But there are many other venues to try. Also very expensive for what was experienced.
The kitchen messed up our orders. Dishes were coming out in random order and they have forgotten one of our main dishes. The staff were not organized and not attentive to customers. Really disappointed with their customer service.
Ordered the M9 & M7 wagyu plates, however the wait staff rudely plonked them on the table without any information. Was unable to recognize any of the cuts and felt like ‘here’s Your meat’, some of the cuts were frozen solid and honestly I wouldn’t pay $88 for 300 gram there again. The meat also had a slight freezer burn taste. Don’t think I’ll be back.
A wonderful experience. Lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and amazing food!
One of the best Japanese BBQ places in Melbourne. Serves Shabu shabu in winter.
Welcoming service and good food. Would be better if the food did not come out rush
Best Japanese I've had anywhere around the world! Highly recommended.
Considering that they are targeting the fine dining market, not all of their staff described the food being served, especially the tasting box.
Good food and service. Sushimi very fresh. Oyster and abalone were excellent.
Great food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back soon.
The quality of the beef was amazing! The wait staff were spot on with service as well - we’ll be back!
Food was really tasty! Only bad thing I can say is the availability of meat could have been communicated better by staff after seating. The service by Vincent was outstanding. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.
Better than going to Nobu and can order yakiniku along with other dishes.
No service in this restaurant at all! Took 20 minutes to bring the sashimi, then 20 minutes to bring the soup, then 30 minutes to bring the beef- but no fire to cook on! Then no plates to serve. Have to call many times for the services. Never go to this restaurant again!
Great food great service. Will be back to have more of the menu.
Too expensive not recommended and definitely won’t go back again
Overpriced. Under knowledgeable staff. Very disappointing. Won’t be back. Thanks
@katorijapanese best A5 hida beef in Melbourne. Just some small recommendations to Katori. Why don’t cook for customers for such good beef? You need to teach customers how to appreciate different parts of the beef with different timing. More small name tag with each part will be also nice suggesting. I like Katori better than Niku Ou but Niku Ou provides better service and dining experience. Hope Katori can improve and give a thumbs up and look forward to Omi beef
Paid top dollar for the best and got low quality wagyu. Menu is misleading, says you get abalone instead u get cheap oyster. Wine glass was dirty.
The waiter missed one of our order, she was nice but not well trained when ask what's chef's special and what's to recommend. The premium sashimi selection is great, but squid ink wagyu meat ball was definitely overcooked, the meat was getting chewy.
Wonderful service and yummy quality sashimi and food. Would love to visit again.
Lovely delicious meal with quality ingredients and luxuriously elegant surroundings.
All the food was wonderful, however we did not get to sample to sashimi or sushi as they had run out. We were provided a complimentary dish for our trouble, which was kind but I would have liked to try the sashimi.
Very elegant surroundings, excellent quality and delicious food, beautifully presented, extremely helpful and polite staff. You better know your Japanese cuisine, and how to combine various dishes to get the perfect meal. A great place to impress a date if you know your food. Good for families so long as the children are well behaved and the parents/carers are willing to take care.of them
Made a reservation with ease The restaurant was a little noisy but it was practically full so that's reasonable Friendly staff Delicious food (a little expensive but so worth it) Food presentation was beautiful
We shall be back very soon with other close friends
It’s like a nightmare, definitely not gonna come again! Highly not recommend to everyone! Sitting there for 50mins and only had a salad......
Very good quality of the meat. Great service . Will come back
Bad service overall we waited a long time for our charcoals
Great food decor and service enjoyed cooking the meat will be back
The food was very expensive for the amount served. We would not return again.
Great experience. Loved their sushi. at the top end and expensive side
Excellent service and lovely food. Matched drinks were well chosen and delicious
Quite the experience, but not many options for vegetarians. Great ambiance and service.
Great food and artfully presented. The ambience was lovely and relaxing.
Very nice wagyu beef, fresh food and mango pudding. Great service
Unique fusion twists. All dishes hit the mark! Great wagyu.
Service was poor. A waiter slid our glass across the table off the bat, just plain rude. Doesnt get the basics right - such as rice was served with sashimi so by the time we cook the meat the rice had already gone cold. For some reason skin were left on Sashimi which made it chewy. They try to be Japanese and trendy but there's a whole lot of room for improvement.
the only thing that i was not satisfy was there was some rib and bones left in the fish sashimi , and the bartender and cocktail was great especially Danny , also Steven was great too, i will return next time and try the sashimi again.
The food was delicious and the staff were prompt and polite.
Excellent wagu service good but closed exactly on time beef tataki fantastic
We had a great time Dinning at Katóri. One neg comment is that the food came out pretty quickly. Other than that the food was delicious.
Found the service friendly and efficient. The quality of the produce was at a good level for a suburban restaurant.
Staff are not professional, they are more suited to cafe work than this restaurant. Service was a let down, otherwise create food.
