Very slow service, and a line up of Uber drivers waiting in the restaurant. No atmosphere at all. Onion bhajis for starters were basically fried onion rings, then waited 1 hour for main food which was very ordinary. Waitress had no idea of menu.
Very tasty food. Good quality but small dishes. Service a little slow. Waiter very helpful
It was great dinner with my group. Service was delayed but food was alright
Great food and amazing service. Will be going back again.
Loved the balance of heat and spices. Perfect. And the waiter gave good advice and recommendations.
Really nice food, lots of flavour . Not too expensive.
Enjoyed everything about our dinner. Only suggestion would be to advise guests of certain garnishes. The food quality and flavors were authentic and excellent. However, ordered rumali roti, which came dripping in butter or oil. I had specifically requested a rumali roti, to enjoy the flavors of the food, without the overwhelming butter garnish. Apart form this, it was an excellent and enjoyable dining experience.
Didn’t enjoy the food at all! Was well below expectations.
Dining in experience not what it use to be. The stained plastic bowls that replaced the previous more traditional metal bowls are awful. Food good.
Wonderful aromas greeted us when we entered Jai Ho! We had a couple of starters and then three main curries and two sides as well as naan bread and the obligatory popadams. The food was very good and tasted great.
great food experience we're glad we went for the first time
Incredible food and really well priced! Couldn't fault the service - favourite Indian food in the South East of Melbourne.
Yummy food, spiced just the way I like it- spicy.
Tasty Indian Food at a reasonable price. The Beef Masala curry was particularly tasty.
We eat at Jai Ho frequently. We love Rumali roti there. Last time the food was okay. It took so long to prepare and we are the only ones in the whole place.
As always, the food and service was great at Jai Ho.
Delicious food and attentive service! We will come back! Thanks
Food was expensive and very small serves. Taste was not that good as we heard. Not recommended
Fantastic vegan menu, tasty and quite varied! Highly recommended especially for vegans
Tasty food. Great spices and servings. Enjoyed the family dinner.
Very good food and service, the staff were friendly and attentive
The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was great. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful in providing ideas and options.
Nice food but we were unfortunately sat right by the door.
Great food, incredible service, what's not to like. Highly recommended
There was hair in all the main dishes. Seats were to low and dining table to high, desert was average and service needs improvement.
A most enjoyable evening with good service and interesting very tasty food. Good service and value.
Overall it was good.food was worth the money.Staff was very gentle and ready to serve.
Very tasty food. Great prices and generous portions. The mixed entree was huge. Had the beef with eggplant, very tender, not to hot but beautiful spice balance. Lamb Biryani had lovely slivers if tender, spiced lamb through the perfectly cooked rice. The Lychee fizz was perfect to drink with dinner. Will return.
Loved this restaurant and the spicey fragrance when you walk in really whets the appetite. Amazing food, speedy service and easy walking distance to AAMI stadium and Rod Laver Arena. We ordered the banquet and every mouthful was a taste sensation. Highly recommend.
Lovely food and atmosphere. Overall great of experience love to visit again
The food was authentic and delicious. The staff were welcoming, helpful with the menu and professional.. I would recommend to friends and definitely go back.
Excellent food.... while servings appear small, they are actually not.... it was way more than we could finish. Despite it being absolutely delicious, we couldn't finish and had to take away. A little disappointment that our takeaway of 3 dishes were pressed into one single box, curry, rice, veggies and all. Separate packing would have been better as it was no longer suitable for vegetarian since the meat dish was packed together.
Good food, lovely ambience, friendly service. Perfect venue for family celebrations. Probably the best and most authentic Indian food I've had in Melbourne. Highly recommend. Will definitely go again.
Although the food was delicious and the staff were friendly we were kept waiting about 40 mins for our meals. Would definitely go again but without children and time to wait for food.
Food & service were excellent. Been there with family and friends enjoyed great and authentic taste of veg and non veg food. First time in Melbourne we enjoyed Rumali Roti. Highly recommended.
We had good service and was served lovely authentic Indian dishes in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. My friend and I both agreed we will certainly be back for more!
This place has Beautiful food, very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Easily my favourite Indian restaurant in the area - for take away or dine in!
The restaurant was not even half full with diners but the service was very slow . We were a group of 8 people. Our pre-meal drinks arrived at varying times spread out over approximately 20 minutes. Entrees for each person also arrived sporadically over an hour. It was 2 hours after arrival to restaurant that we finally got our mains. When enquiring as to when the mains will be ready the waitress said 2 to 3 minutes but in fact it took 20 minutes. The food was average.
Disappointing! We were a group of 4 and I ordered 4 very different dishes which came out looking very similar and tasting very similar. Sauces with poppadoms were not fresh and were what you may expect from SUBWAY. The onion bhaji were simply onion rings similar to that of frozen supermarket onion rings. All in all sub standard food and expensive for what it was. I will not be going back. Nice staff and service will never make up for poor food unfortunately.
Went there for New year's eve with my fiance. The waitress was very helpful. The service was good. Ordered veg platter for starters and Bhuna ghosht and saag chicken with rumali roti and rice. Bhuna ghosht was awesome and so was saag chicken. Overall enjoyed it.
Very good service and hosting. All the staff members were very helpful and made it very comfortable was for us. Food was excellent as always....
Hello, Great food just very slow service despite there not being many guests. Would be good to speed it up a bit in future as we were there for nearly three hours for a quick thursday night dinner. Thanks!
