Il Posto - Best Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant

Service was fantastic as usual. A well considered menu and great food. Easy parking.

A great local Italian restaurant. We had the PANE DI POSTO, TAGLIERA DI AFFETATTI, and of course the mushroom risotto which was one of the best. The atmosphere was good and we really enjoyed our dinner.

We had a family group of 8 including children and Il Posto suited us very well. The food was very good and it is a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!

There was no waiting time because I went with a reservation, I wanted to take my friends from abroad to an Italian restaurant, but the only thing the restaurant had to do with Italian was the paintings on the wall. We ordered 3 different pizzas and Bolognese pasta, the pizzas were worse than any other pizzeria, the presentation was pretty bad, and I can say that the pasta was average. Asking why we didn't have dessert while walking to the cash register was another unprofessional behavior.

Good service, good food, a little bit noisy. Overall very good.

Restaurant was quiet and service good. I had veal Marsala which is my favourite dish. Very good once again.

We have been going to Il Posto for many years, always enjoying the beautiful food and friendly welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately our online booking did not register but this was well handled by the owner who found us a table outside. It was good to see the food was still great but sadly the service was lacking. Hopefully with a bit more experience the wait staff will be less confused. We were also put off by the outside waitress sitting on the table opposite to ours sipping on a can of drink staring at us whilst we were trying to enjoy our lovely meal. Perhaps, fingers crossed, in time she too may gain experience & understand how off putting that is to customers.

Had the burrata special, 4 mushroom risotto, pizza #16 and a veal dish. Service was v good but the food was excellent. Ordered a second risotto it was so good. Definitely on the list to return.

This is our first visit to Il Posto under new ownership. We went along curious to see whether it was still as good. It is. We really enjoyed the food. We’ll definitely be back.

Il Posto is a fabulous local diner. The food is both tasty and generous and there is something for everyone. Daily specials were fresh and articulated well by our young server who understood service from the very start. Favourite traditional pizza and pasta are all on offer - but there are a few surprises to entice you. This one will have you coming back for a second and third bite!

Both the food and the service at Il Posto were amazing! We ordered several appetisers, 2 types of pasta as well as a couple of pizzas. The pastas were not only delicious, the generous portion meant that there was enough for sharing. Pizzas were also good as we could see numerous customers walking in to buy takeaways. Having the Bottle Shop just next door was also very convenient.

We come back every year for our Christmas gathering because quality of food, service and atmosphere is so good. It is noisy but the only real negative is the mains always take a long time
