Great food, tasty, fresh and consistently good quality produce. Ravioli di Casa and Zucchini flowers alway my go to. Service was excellent considering the restaurant was packed.

We have been to Il Grappolo a few times now and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. However, on our most recent visit, we felt let down by the service. There were a number of young, front of house, staff who seemed to lack direction. We had to order drinks three times before they were served, after our meals were finished, among other things. We noticed other diners becoming frustrated by slow response times. Otherwise, the food was good and reasonably priced. We feel, however, that more attention needs to be focused on the diners' experience.

I love this restaurant but it has changed. The waitstaff are not the same and I found the service below average. We had to get our own menus and my husband's meal came out 5 minutes after mine. It was very disappointing especially when we have come from the Central Coast.

Always hits the spot! The staff members too are consistently gorgeous.

All meals cam on time and size exceeded our expectation.

We had a lovely evening and my only criticism was that the Tuesday Pizza Special was not explained to us when we sat down. I was with three friends and we were all very confused about what the deal was. Hence a surprise when we received the bill. Apart from that everything was very good. Kind regards, Wendy

We usually have an enjoyable experience here but last night was not great. The pasta special was pretty ordinary, and fish over cooked.

As usual great friendly service, a good menu and excellent food.

A lovely little local Italian restaurant which exceeds expectations. Staff are very polite and authentic. Food is very well-priced for the quality.

My wife and I went for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant was quiet with a nice Italian atmosphere. The light Italian music playing in the background added to the pleasant atmosphere. The food overall was average. Our shared arancini balls were good and we would rate them an 8/10. My wife’s spaghetti carbonara she scored a 7/10, but my ravioli with spinach and ricotta was overly wet/sloppy and quite tasteless and scores a very low 4/10. The dishes were pretty well priced for their portions, but not for their quality. The wine was well priced and enjoyable. The service was terrible though, and it is worth mentioning that we were barely waited on. Every time we wanted something we had to gain the two waiters’ attention with much difficulty. From sit-down to final payment this was the case. We felt as if they were not in the least concerned about us and were ignoring us. This left us with a bad overall impression of the place. We both feel that with better attention to the customers’ needs this place could really make a grand impression as it has many attributes that lend to it being a traditional trattoria. We feel that we will return to give it another go, but aren’t overly confident that they’ll impress a second time around.

Rushed by the staff as was told we had to be off the table by7.25pm for a 6pm booking - which I made 2 weeks ago - the only available time. Food is good but this is my second experience of poor service at this venue and we’ve been trying to support local businesses in COVID. Specials were sold out at 6.35pm and told unavailable - even though our waitress confirmed there was a portion left. Left the restaurant at 7.40pm due to the poor experience - only half the restaurant was full and several tables for 4 remained empty with no one Arriving to fill them. Disappointing service apart from one waitress who knew what service was and continually apologised to us. No wonder Balmain is dead at 8pm every night!!! So many other Italian restaurants to choose from who understand hospitality and make their guests feel welcome. Do not recommend this place.

So wonderful to celebrate friends’ birthdays out and about! Shared entrees. Yummy mains and Tiramisu and limoncello sorbet cocktail never cease to impress!

Swift service as we were there at 6.30pm. Food is exceptional especially the garlic prawns and bruschetta.

The staff forgot our main course, so we paid for the entree and left to go to another restaurant with some service

Food is always great! The service is usually spot on. But they must have been having an off night. The food came out in good time, but the ordering was slow at every point through the night. But it won't stop me going back.

Il Grapolo doesn't disappoint; Service food and atmosphere wonderful. Only gripe was that it was so hot in the restaurant; Air con please!

Have always loved this restaurant but standard has really gone down with poor service.
