We booked a week before, when we arrived we were given a small table squashed into a corner so we slightly moved the table from the wall and the manager comes over and asks us to please move the table back, it felt like he was standing over us until we moved it back. Don’t need to eat at restaurants that are rude

My husband and I ordered the fettuccine al tartufo. We are Italian background therefore we know our flavours. The dish was more like pasta with butter. There was very little flavour even though there was a lot of shaved truffle, you could hardly taste it. Also the addition of the egg on top of the pasta wasn’t an enhancement to the flavour but more off putting. The pasta was on the undercooked side. We have been at grappolo many times before, the experience is always been a pleasant one. However, we have noticed the stuff is always changing and therefore The service was poor as we kept asking for water.

A really nice experience. Unlike what we had read, the wait staff were excellent, courteous and attentive. We only had pizza and pasta but it was all excellent (and we shared a panna cotta that was also delish) We will definitely be back.

Our evening was pleasant and the food was tasty. The gnocchi Gorgonzola was good. I wouldn't recommend as a dining experience but for a local restaurant it was fine.

I have been wanting to come here for a long time as it has been highly recommended and it did not disappoint in terms of food quality and service. There was a large and extremely noisy family party of more than 20 adults and children behind our table and so the noise level was extreme until they left three quarters of the way though our meal.On the upside, there was pleasure in seeing a large extended Italian family enjoying their Nonna's birthday party. As our table was next to the door every time anyone came in and out, and that was a lot, there was a burst of freezing air which was irritating and, as at least half of the people did not close the door, we were hopping up pretty regularly to close it. However, I would be more than happy to go back, perhaps to sit outside in warmer weather and we will take our chances as to whether there will be more noisy Nonna celebrations.

Two- thirds of the mains were unavailable. Gnocchi too soft/overcooked. Spatchcock was good. The cappuccino was like muddy water, the macchiato was good. Disappointing as it’s the first time we’ve left dissatisfied here.

I’ve been eating at Il Grappolo regularly for several years. The food is consistent, authentic, generous & next level delicious! It’s the best local anyone could wish for.

Food was nice but the service wasn’t great. All young staff that were very friendly however it would appear that they didn’t have much experience and very slow at times.

Best Italian restaurant in Oz. Been to Italy several times in the past 2 decades and Il Grappolo would give some of the best Italian restaurants a run for their money. My favourite eating place. Best food and always consistent. Happy to pay that bit extra for a superior eating experience.

Excellent food but very noisy. Why can’t restaurant improve the acoustics to make it a pleasant experience where you don’t have to shout have to wear hearing protection.

All meals were very good except the spaghetti vongola which was dry with no sauce.

Food, service, quality & quantity well above expectations. Overall a very pleasing night.

A few glitches. Warm white wine. Dropped plates. All fixed by polite and friendly staff. Food was nice.
