Il Caminetto

The tables were too close to each other, we had to change the chairs as we couldn’t sit. We were given a gift voucher & when we arrived & presented it to them we were told we can have two starters & two main or two main & two deserts. But when we finished & went to pay for our drinks we were told that one main was not included in the voucher but it’s not stated anywhere. & they did not tell us. When I said we were not told he said it’s ok we don’t have to pay. It was very embarrassing. Be watchful if you are using vouchers.

We were a little disappointed with a couple of the dishes one being a pasta dish which was definitely overcooked pasta and the other was the tiramisu which was to wet it seemed like it had been frozen and then thawed. The other dishes were good. It was disappointing from the last meal we had there.

The noise levels were too loud to enable a conversation across the table unless you yelled at one another. The result was that it was a very uncomfartable room to be in. The restaurant and food otherwise were very much above average.

The best Italiano cuisine in this area. Little bit of a wait for drinks and food, but worth it in the end. Prices are high but no worse than most other places and the quality of the food and service justifies the spend. Better than local stalwart Carosellos; better food, less attitude and nowhere near as noisy.

We enjoyed delicious authentic Italian food and friendly and efficient service.

There was a mistake and of our two meals did not arrive. After about 20 minutes and prompting the waiter admitted he had made a mistake and the meal was served some 15 minutes later. Initially I was very disappointed but the waiter was gracious, gave me a complimentary glass of wine and when the food came, it was delicious. Also when settling the bill, we were told the dessert was also complimentary. We left happy enough to agree that we would certainly return.

Okay only not worth the hype pizza was average not as good as advertised

The food was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Never thought I would eat a Nutella and raspberry pizza for dessert but I did. Yum !

Good food, good service, a pleasant and authentic Italian restaurant

Food was magnificent but the cold non inviting service was not. I requested corner table as we had two young children but instead put near a pole with the only area with no lighting. The children went to request service to add to our order and were meet with a negative response instead of someone asking “can we help you”. The whole evening was to finish off a day of Celebrating my Daughters 40th birthday with her boys. Again I mention the food was exquisite and thank you for allowing me to put this in writing as I have mentioned it to many people who were horrified. Denise Haberman ph 0408344931

The pesto gnocci was the worst of my life. Tasted very watered down and flavourless. The pizza was pretty good and they make a wonderful gf dough, however, we asked the waiter if the one we wanted could be made gf and he said yes so we ordered it, then he came back and told us the sauce base was not gf so we could choose another sauce. I think the sauce base must have been doing a lot of heavy lifting in the flavour profile bcs what arrived wasn't amazing, i wish he had mentioned this and given us the opportunity to order a different pizza instead. For the price I was not impressed overall.

Great food but service was substandard with a lot of confusion. I gave the staff my booking name and they said the table was still being prepared even though I could see my friends had already arrived and were seated. Once seated, it took about 20 minutes before someone arrived to take our order and drinks took about 25 minutes to come out.

Loved it and so much better than a previous experience in one in Strathmore. Great serive, spectacular food and enjoyable experience all round
