The Palisades is one of the great pubs in Sydney. The Henry Deane Bar is without doubt the best place to take in the magnificence of this wonderful city. The service is great and the food fantastic.

Great food and fantastic location. Normally I don't go for share plates - as I don't find the serves substantial - but not the case here! Great Moroccan middle eastern flavours + cool vibe cocktails. I'd rush back.

It is a good place to enjoy the view of sydney, but not a place to enjoy the food as there is too little options offered in the menu.

I took my wife to Henry Deane for a sneaky weekday lunch. Nice ambience and views from the top floor of the Palisades Hotel. They've done a great job of modernising the space and creating a great drinking/dining room. The seating inside is all on lounges and low chairs, with coffee-table height tables. It was actually not easy to hear each other as we ended up being a long way apart and so it didn't make for a particularly intimate lunch. The room's feel is more of a drinks and nibbles place than a restaurant, and it really works if you have that expctation. The food menu is a little limited, obviously keeping costs under control. But everything we ordered was very good. I particularly liked the scallops with roe which were perfectly steamed and dressed. Overall - I'll definitely be back for the great views from rare angles in a part I don't often get to. But probably not for a romantic lunch.

Amazing view. Great service. Food was good but portions are small, there not main meals, just dishes to pick at it while you drink/talk to your partner/friends/family

It is a very nice classy bar, atmosphere is perfect with chill music and no loud people. I have indeed tried all their cocktails and desserts and they are all terrible. Strong, alcoholic and usually taken to extreme spectrum of sour.

The view and decor were exceptional, and the food was good quality. Great wine. We felt that the service was a little slow, however, and there were lots of rules regarding payment.

Great venue with amazing 360 degree view if Sydney. Perfect venue for casual drinks and a shared lunch. Food was light and fresh and went down perfectly with a bottle of rose and some cocktails.

Food wasn't great therefore the price was too high. Great view though and exquisite interior design. Might be a good place for drinks but not food.

This is up there as one of my favourite Sydney experiences. Not a huge menu but all very tasty and excellent wine. The two main features that will draw you in are the view and the cool factor - trust me they will not disappoint. Don't go here if you want a huge meal with value for money - there is a pub downstairs. Do go here is you like beautiful places, amazing dining experiences and a great vibe.

There is an amazing view from the Henry Deane. Worth eating here just for the view. Relaxed seating with Lounges and low tables. Small menu of shared plates style food. We had a tomato salad, cauliflower dish and seafood risotto which was all very delicious. Very attentive service as well.

Seating is not comfortable. Dishes are ok but the mere mention of anything deconstructed turned us off. Fish nice but boullibaise was watery and lacked depth.

Excellent venue, great food. Quite expensive wine list and strangely few Australian wines. We drank a lovely French Sauvignon Blanc Sancerre, but it would have been nice to buy a local quality wine. Good service, great view. Beautiful lunch location.

Good atmosphere (vibe), good service and great views of the harbour and surrounds. Food was pretty good too. Wines by the glass were ok and there could have been a bigger selection.

Great location, gorgeous views, fabulous decor, great cocktail list and extensive drinK options, however it is very noisy so more suited to a crowd than a romantic night out. We were very disappointed by the food - only the sashimi was really good.

Amazing views, good service, mussels are fantastic. Only downside is pretty poor beer selection and enforced 10% service charge, should just be built into the prices. Its Australia not America... But the staff were excellent so would have tipped them either way.

Our booking process through Quandoo was quite smooth and Hotel palisade responded very quickly to any enquiries that I had. When we arrived our table was not ready and we were made to wait for about 15minutes so that the table booked before us would leave. As the tables are all allotted a strict 2 hour booking restriction this was a little frustrating. The cocktails that we had varied in taste, they were very hit and miss. We also ordered a few items of food from the menu such as the cauliflower, cheese platter and the salmon sashimi. The food was nothing special and for the price that we were paying I would have expected a bit extra in terms of taste. However, Henry Deane's magical location, atmosphere and view makes up for all of this. It's quite a special location and feels very vibrant and beautiful as soon as you walk in. The service is also very friendly and nice. The only reservation I would have about this place would be the allotted booking times and the 10% service charge. We were forced to leave our tables about 20minutes earlier than we had originally booked for as we were seated later due to the table before us.

Lovely view, great staff and service. We had all the dishes to share: oysters, scallops, mussels, king of prawns, ceviche and lamb. All the dishes were delicious. We all really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning! (There was also plenty of parking nearby).
