Hotel Palisade - Henry Deane

snobbish and unhelpful front staff created a bad first impression. The upside was the view at sunset. Though the venue is not as glossy as on the website, furniture a bit shabby. We order 5 dishes (made to share). They were entree size and all cooked on a grill like the kabab shop standard. We left after one hour and went to the Italian place on the water front for better food drink and service. Will not be back.

Fabulous every time. Service is impeccable. Good and wine is perfectly selected for the menu. Great atmosphere and great attention to detail evident throughout the whole experience.

Excellent from the moment we walked in. The friendly service, delicious food, stylish interiors, and incredible views are worthy of 6 stars! We highly recommend visiting this fabulous establishment.

The food was great, the service was excellent and the staff were knowledgeable about all aspects of the food and drink. The view of course, is brilliant.

Great service and amazing food. You cannot fault the view. The prawns were a highlight of the day along with some amazing wine and cocktails

Beautiful views. Service could be improved with wait staff more friendly or warm, but overall a very pleasant experience with some wonderful food. Definitely recommend the mussles and baby octopus!

Location great and view was fabulous. Food was very hit and miss - prawns super yum but everything else (6 other dishes) were ho-hum! Next time would only have drinks as food needs work.

Great interior, fantastic view, friendly staff. The food was slow though and came out separately, it would have been good together and quicker. Tasty nonetheless.

Beautiful time! Amazing view and lovely service would reccomened to everyone. Even on a rainy day the view was fabulous. Will be visiting again soon

One of the most beautiful locations in Sydney, with excellent service, excellent food and wine, Henry Deanes is a must for locals and visitors alike!

Really great cocktails and the service was also great. Obviously the view and style of the hotel is the draw card but unfortunately the food was not good. We didn’t finish any plate, so I wouldn’t recommend going here for lunch or dinner but certainly great for cocktails

Amazing 360 degrees views of Sydney Harbour, with the added advantage of good food and great cocktails. Extensive wine list. We took our English family there and they were stoked.

The view, ambience, and decor alone made for a memorable experience. Top that with quality service, beautiful cuisine, and good prices and the experience became indelible!

This is the Crown Jewel of Sydney and Darling Harbour. Wonderful staff and beautiful food. Just perfect. And the view is stunning. Highly recommended for any occasion.

The venue is nice and the views are stunning. Staff were friendly and quick to respond. What spoiled otherwise nice lunch was public, it seems to be the venue for girls parties. It was awfully loud to the point that it was hard to have any decent conversation. Hence 3 stars.

Food was delicious, drinks were great and venue is stunning. Didn’t give higher tho as felt it seemed a bit of a stressed environment. Not enough staff on and all staff either looked very stressed( we arrived at 12 when doors opened) and possibly didn’t want to be there. The smiles were definately forced. I stood at the bar trying to get served at one point and there was one person serving who didn’t even acknowledge me for 5 minutes( I was the only customer at the bar) as he was making cocktails and then two other staff came behind bar and completely ignored me. I had to wave and say excuse me can someone serve me before anyone looked up.

It was awesome!!! We went there for my husband’s birthday! Very happy as there was great food and service! The view was to die for even as a Sydneysider!

Delicious cocktails, scrumptious foods to share, and an exceptional view. Another great visit at this fantastic venue. Service is great but it's the view that brings me back time and again!

Whilst the food was fine (not exceptiona) the seating was very very uncomfortable. Chairs too high for tables, couches too low for tables. Legs on tables made it difficult to get your legs around. For this price - which has a mandatory 10% service charge!!) I (and my fellow guests) expect comfortable seating to enable ease of eating food. We returned one of our plates because of large crack through the middle of the plate. Our seating was only for 2 hours and then we were moved on - and out of the hotel as nowhere looked inviting enough to sit. Never to return.

Great meal, fantastic view and tasty drinks. What more do you need? Highly recommend the scallops, the brussel sprouts and the lamb cutlets. Look forward to going back!

Nomad customer service, food & beverage was exceptional. The ambience was great and not too noisy which I thought might have been the case in a large space like that. I thoroughly enjoyed all the small plates and the lamb from the large plates. Definitely would go back.

The staff were very friendly & provided great service. The food arrived shortly after being ordered & tasted absolutely devine. The fabulous view speaks for itself.

This has to be without a doubt the best view in Sydney. It is a shame you have to book, but is definitely worth it.The room is a little noisy, but this pales against the wonderful views of Sydney Harbour.

Fantastic food, and phenomenal service. It was busy, being so close to Christmas, but our food was still brought out really quickly. And the views are jaw dropping.

Great restaurant with an amazing view! Would highly recommend and would go there again! Only reason for not rating a 6 is due to the price, it is extremely expensive for what food you get! Although it was yummy, it would have been great if there was just a tiny bit more variety. However staff were lovely and atmosphere was great.

Food is great but they push you out the door in 2 hours to give your table to someone else. Not very hospitable in this regard.

As always the views are stunning and the service was great as was the food. The only dampeners were the wine that was very expensive / overpriced due tocrazy mark up and we were only advised when seated that we would need to exit promptly for another seating directly after our meal.

I don't appreciate a tio already being added as a "surcharge" to the bill. Sneaky. Servise was great. Food is lovely, but super expensive. Awesome view.

The Hotel Palisade - Henry Deane has amazing views and really great food. Perfect place for a cocktail, looking out at the Harbour Bridge, or to the west as the sun slowly sets

Absolutely love the location, the fun filled array of drinks, the mouth watering food and the vibrant staff. It is one of my most favourite places for an afternoon cheeky

Guy on the door was amazing and as were most staff. No space to have a pre drink other than hovering over someone’s table. Overall great food view and service.

Stunning views of Sydney, great location, impressive menu for food and drinks and excellent service. They also manage the volume of people allowed up very well which made us feel very comfortable.

Great food, unbelievable views and quality service. I have been here 3 or 4 times now and it always delivers. I look forward to the next visit.

When you book for 8:30 get seated at 9pm and you see your waiter seat her Radiohead mates at 9:30 then sits down herself, gets her food and eats with her obnoxious boyfriends before you have even seen your first plate.. don’t bother going unless you have a hipster track on triple j, you’re pretentious or your mates with the waitstaff.

The location and views and history of The Palisade are absolutely wonderful, the food magnificent, the service, not too bad, but that's were it ends when it could be so much more. Don't get me wrong we had a fab time but a few things could have made it legendary...The space itself is fantastic but the lounge area was not the most comfortable and the little round tables and strange serving plates were just annoying. Also as the evening went on and don't get me wrong the atmosphere was great but as the music got louder it was impossible to have a conversation as the speaker in the corner was very loud in the confined space. My only other concern is the cocktails!! If you are going to be charging like wounded bulls for them, please please don't go all McDonalds and fill them with ice.. Yes the large Ice cube is jazzy but not when it fills your cocktail glass more than the actual cocktail, one sip and mine was gone and it was very hard to sip it when the ice cube is as big as your head. Overall a very cool, hip and happening place, Enjoy!

This place has an amazing view! Limited food options but everything we ordered was delicious, and served hot. Highly recommend the prawns and lamb dishes.

Amazing view, great service, delicious food.... one of the best rooftop bars in Sydney. We had the octopus, the king fish ceviche, brussel sprouts & cauliflower- all dishes hit the mark.

The place is beautiful with great views. the staff were friendly and relatable. Had two cocktails which were both delicious including an espresso martini and a chilli margarita. Good share food.

Great evening despite the rainy weather we really enjoyed our evening. The two of us had tequila based cocktails (both fabulous) together with the beautiful kingfish. Loved the Dj and the service was attentive but not intrusive!

Great food as well as ambience. One of the only bars I’ve gone to that has really good food along with good drinks accompanying the fantastic food!
