Excellent and funky bar for Frankston. Great place to go for dinner on Friday/Saturday that turns into a nightclub afterwards. Excellent music and good choice of cocktails to choose from. Great upstairs outdoor area for enjoying sunny days.

Atmosphere and music is 5/5. Excellent cocktails menu and pub food. Decent size Chicken Parma. Service sometimes a bit slow when it’s super busy. Great location and perfect for bringing a date or just catching up with your crew.

We celebrated Father’s Day last year. Great location, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. Good service as well

The food was good and so were the drinks, it was quite a wait for everything and had to ask about where my drink was as it took about 20 mins for me to receive it. Good vibe, but overpriced but it's a nice place.

Lovely food, very attentive staff. Although might need to re access "spicy thermometer" As the beef thai salad was a little hotter than explained.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Was told the Chef selection menu needed to be pre booked but there was not reference on this on the website. We were thankful the staff were still able to accomodate this for us. They have a great variety in their menu I would definitely dine there again.

Was served a cold parma. Must of been pre-cooked and then reheated. Not a fan.

Quite nice, maybe eat upstairs next time. I like the ginnus on tap.

Lovely atmosphere and noise level was perfect to catch up with friends.

It was overall a good experience. My husband ordered on the app as the waiter advised to do so. When I looked at the bill we had been charged the kids meals. When we brought this up they only offered us a drink to make up for the kids meals but couldn’t offer a refund on this. Under fortunately I don’t think we will be back

25 minutes to get our drinks order was quite poor. Food was reasonable though.

When ordering steak, i could not select gravy. Only sauces. and then i didnt receive my receipt for the drinks i purchased.

Food excellent. Beautiful venue. Just a little noisy and hard to have a quality conversation.

Chicken wings were dry and overcooked. Waited ages for drinks ordered through the app. My meal didnt come at all - asked 2 times and no one followed up with me. Everyone else finished their meals and we were ready to leave so I asked again was told it will be ready in 5 mins. I ended up with takeaway as had to go back to work. Asked waiter what happened and she said she didnt know - go and find out! Great looking venue - get the staff trained in customer service and it will be a hit.

Requested top floor seating which was outside & sunny. We did find some of the areas around your EFT POS machine very sticky to the point where I asked bartender to clean it so i could read it! Not a great hygenic look!

Cocktails were pre mixed and tasted absolutely terrible and just sugar no alcohol The music was all over the place for a Saturday afternoon… so confused on the clientele you’re trying to aim it at!! We left!

We visited the Lona Hotel on a Monday evening and dined in the downstairs restaurant, where it was fairly quiet. The rooftop dining howver was very busy. The staff were friendly and efficient and our meals were delicious and served in good time. We had a Lona burger (gluten free), Caesar salad with chicken (very tender) and the traditional parma. The refurbishment of the old building is magnificent. Our experience was a very happy one and we will definitely return.

Booked for rooftop but was redirected downstairs a little disappointed, food was okay have had better not a excellent experience 4/10

Such a lovely venue great service and atmosphere ! Our drinks were great and food was yummy. We loved the calamari and my fish tacos were light and fresh. Unfortunately my partners chicken parmigiana was cold and soggy. Will try again though:)

It was a little too hot on the roof for lunch time. I'm sure they will work out cooling it down a bit over the time. Great food, friendly staff and I'll definitely go back!

Our experience was not great which was disappointing. I initially had issues booking so when I needed to change the numbers and time I was unable to. There is no ph number for the venue on the website so I rang quandoo and although helpful they weren’t able to amend my booking. He said he would follow up and have someone get back to me but they didn’t. I also sent an email but never received a reply. I ended up dropping into the venue in order to make changes. When we arrived tonight it looked fantastic but soon we had issues ordering online. We ended up ordering at the bar which took some time as the staff also had issues ordering for us! When we received our meals they were not what was on the menu. The eggplant parma did not have the sweet potato fries or the correct salad . The Reuben’s did not have the potato crisps - they had fries and I had ordered extra fries which we didn’t end up needing. If items become unavailable, which appeared to be the issue, staff need to be made aware so they can let patrons know. Our booking was for 6.00 and at no time did we know the booking was for 2.5 hrs. We were asked to leave. I queried this and one girl said that was the booking and we should have known that! She ended up coming back and saying she had checked my booking and there was nothing on my booking which gave an end time, said I was correct, apologised for that but told us we still had to leave. Also when I had gone to the venue to amend our booking time and amt of people the person who assisted me did not mention the booking was only for 2.5 hrs. We left after we were asked but it took so long to get downstairs as there were so many people coming and going. We understand that the opening of any new venue will have issues but lack of communication appears to be the main one atm.

Had a lovely lunch, but was served a very flat glass ‘bubbles’ at first, which they happily replaced. Seemed to be a lot of staff with not much to do. Rooftop was closed unfortunately due to a ‘shortage of bar staff’ will try again another day. Great setting and location, I’m sure it will be good.

An awesome new dining experience in Frankston, it was a great atmosphere with delicious food and drink options! Would highly recommend checking out the new Lona Hotel in Frankston CBD.

It was our first time at Hotel Lona. The place was busy with diners and drinkers. We were welcomed at the door and directed to the bar whilst our table was cleaned and reset. We took our drinks to our table then ordered meals from the code on the table. Our meals arrived after twenty minutes. Both were satisfying and a generous serve. I took half my Chicken Parmigiana home in a takeaway box for my dog. Staff were friendly and food was tasty so no complaints.

The place had a great vibe and the staff were lovely. The GF tacos would have been better with more flavour & better tortillas!! Can't wait to come back and try other food on the menu. This is definitely what Frankston needs!
