The service at Hanami Izakaya is wonderful and friendly. They heard us discussing celebrating purchasing my first home and when we paid gave us a bottle of champagne 💜 Always friendly, reasonably priced and tasty ☺️

Visit here regularly, the food is always fresh and tasty. Well presented as you would expect of a good Japanese resteraunt. The staff are always pleasant... BYO too, a modest corkage, a bonus.

Good food, good service. Wagyu dumplings and croquettes were delicious. Wasn’t happy with one dish and it was taken off the bill without me having to ask.

We booked, but had to wait for our table. The food was tasty but not high quality. I am confident the scallops were not scallops, but rolled fish meat (or something like that), and the fried chicken was very small popcorn style chicken. It was a little disappointing given there are some great Japanese restaurants in northcote & Thornbury just up the road.

Wonderful place with proper Japanese dishes. Great selection and very fresh. Service was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Will be back.

We went there on a Wednesday night. I like the atmosphere because it was quiet. The foods were good, services are good. Overall value for money !
