Great place for a lunch feed, amazing value, great service, they all work so hard.

Great venue; great service; tasty lunch; quiet and comfortable atomsphere!

As usual, GC on the money in value and food.

Food was ok, weekend drink prices were great. Main area was busy but Platform Bar was much quieter to sit and enjoy a drink. Staff were lovely.

Great food. Ended up eating there twice within a week. Would definitely recommend as prices are also reasonable and they have specials each night. 1kg wings for $10 on Saturday and Sunday was a favourite.

OK, nothing special for the price, other places would offer better value for money & food quality. Service pretty lacking and mid week probably better than Fri evening for dinner due to noise.

Although the food was wonderful, today it took an extremely long time to be served our food - about 50 mins - and 2 of us had wraps. Even if someone had of come up to us and said "Sorry for the wait, but we haven't forgotten" about you" we would have been understanding of the delay. Apart from that, great.

Great food and very friendly staff but the cigarette smoke was blowing in from outside which wasn’t pleasant. The pumpkin lasagna was so delicious, yum!

Good food and good Friday special. Staff were very attentive (although one dark haired woman who I assume was the manager) wasn't very friendly when asked where to get cutlery from.

Served quickly and food came out very quickly with no mistakes. The $5 off Grill items is a great deal. Only feedback would be that we were cramped in a loud walkway area when I called ahead days prior and requested we be seated around the back where it was quieter because we had members in our party that have hearing difficulty. Also, $4 for a glass of soda water is ridiculous. Other post mix is fine but soda water should not cost that considering it's $0.75 for 1.25L in stores.

Good quality meals, at a reasonable price. Great range of craft beers. They also have some great lunch specials and some discount drinks during happy hour.

Good service, good food at a reasonable price. Our table wasn't booked, but it may have been in the Platform Bar as the doors didn't open till 12noon and the table was booked for 11.45am. There was a table available in the bar area which was fine.

Xcellent hotel, brill staff, recommend to everyone, 5*, A+++ Everyone should stay here at least once as it is quite a useful location and so close to the station.

8 people seated around two tall round table that rocked was the only thing letting it down especially when you are all sawing away at your steaks. Food and services was excellent. 2/8 not totally cooked to order but not bad by the kitchen.

It was lunchtime and very busy but they still provided good service. It has an extensive menu with additional daily specials. The meals were good value.

It was incredibly busy so our meals were not received until 30 minutes after ordering, and the line to make our orders took 15 minutes, so we only had 15 minutes left of the hour to quickly eat and leave. The place was obviously busy because of the great meal deals on that day, which we were pleased to take advantage of. However, some people in our group ordered meals they have had before and they were smaller portions than previously (salmon salad, veggie stack, side of steamed veggies), which left a few people still hungry. Most of the meals were favourably received - thanks :)

Great location, food all came out together and the food was great we had the steak it was cooked perfect. Waffles fries are next level delish!!

Generally very good, however it was extremely busy and more staff, particularly behind the bar and taking meal orders was needed. The staff rostered on did a pretty good job all things considered.

Love the Platform Bar. Great Atmosphere and the food is delicious. Being able to sit at the Table and look out to Central Station through the Window is a great Novelty. Good for after work Drinks or a good meal.

The service was eexcellent . The staff were friendly and prompt. The food was good. It was great value. We will definitely go back again.

Food at the Grand Central is always reliable and generous in portion size. Good pub food and service is generally friendly and attentive. Wide variety of beers.

Meal was reasonably priced. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and the wine was very good. Staff was friendly, helpful and obliging. Would recommend for a good, well priced hotel meal.

Good venue, plenty of atmosphere. There is a good range of food to choose from and there is a good internal fitout which is relaxed.

Great location in the CBD, the lunch time specials are great quality and price. Very friendly staff and great décor. It doesn't feel like a pub, but has the great Aussie pub atmosphere.

Wonderful place. Food is priced excellent and catered for our party of 8 (was originally 6). Has been renovated since we last went and it was nice and bright. Will definitely go again!

Appalling. They weren't expecting us (party of 8) despite our booking so tables were not set up and we had no allocated wait staff. We decided t cut our losses at that stage and left for somewhere else.

So handy to train station. Excellent choice of meals. Great prices. Didn't have to wait long for meals to be served. Could get a good cup of coffee for $2. Wine was reasonably priced. Had good special deals. Will go back again. Such a good central meeting place for everyone. No wonder its popular

Very busy on a Friday but service is great. Good range of food available. They also cater for large groups, seemed to be work crews there celebrating end of work week.

Grand central hotel is a great place to have a late Saturday afternoon lunch and a tipple. The atmosphere is chilled, the drink were cold, the service was friendly and the food was great. Will go again.

I was delivered a perfectly cooked piece of juicy steak and crisp hot chips with a fresh salad which was delicious, The beer was cold and the staff were lovely. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Great steak and great atmosphere. The Steak and Drink special made the Grand Central Hotel the perfect place for our workplace lunch. will definitely be back!
