Unbelievably tasty food and very well priced and discrete friendly quick service. This is one of my favourite CBD restaurants and great for an intimate quiet dinner with close friends.
Great food, good price and close to theatres in nearby Collins Street. Will be back
We found a hidden gem in a former shopping arcade. The food was authentic and very, very tasty. The service was extremely friendly. Go there and let yourself be pampered with a wonderful Indian meal.
Great food and service. Secret gem nestled in one of Melbournes art deco arcades. Must see
Great flavours and prices and friendly staff - love coming here and so did my party
Restaurant was amazing. Flavour of the curries were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. And great value for money.
fantastic food good location before a show thank you bye
Friendly staff, great atmosphere. One of the best authentic curry places in Melbourne
Food was presented in a fantastic way, and service was devine! Absolutely a authentic gem of a place!
Best Indian food in Melbourne. Very authentic and delicious. However, the restaurant was very cold as it is not a totally enclosed space and exposed to the outside cold air. Definitely heaters needed to create a more comfortable experience. Service was excellent.
Food was ok without being amazing. Quite expensive. Much of the flavour was the same for each dish.
Great quiet place, lovely food, value for money, exceptional service definitely recommend it to anyone.
Great Indian food at a very reasonable price. Service was also very good.
Excellent tasty food and service - loved that Thali and opening hours
Staff are lovely and very helpful. Food tastes amazing - everyone I bring to this well located restaurant raves about the food - my favourite Indian restaurant in the CBD
The food and particularly the service was great. Highly recommend
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be back again.
Extremely tasty butter chicken. Authentic Indian restaurant cuisine and decor
Great tasting authentic Indian dining. Go give it a try.
Food was really tasty and brilliant vegetarian options 👍, probably requires a little more atmosphere however it was Christmas day so probably the shops around are normally open.
Very Good curry platter at a good price - group of 7
If you love authentic Indian food this little restaurant is a must. Don't forget to add a Garlic Naan or two to your order.
The food was beautiful although it was a bit expensive
We really enjoyed every aspect of our visit! 10/10 will visit again!
The place was small but tidy and thx thugs were kind and accommodating. They made us feel welcome and left us a good amount of time to look at the menu. When we asked questions they were polite and helpful and we were glad we could split the check at the end as not everyone allows this. I would definitely go again and recommend it to everyone
Madras was the best we’ve ever had. Kids enjoyed their butter chicken. Staff were friendly and efficient.
So much flavour and perfect on the mild, medium and hot (we had one of each). Definitely a recommendation for Brits abroad 😉
Just excellent! Great little place. For curry, go nowhere else.
Great food. Lovely staff and it was great that they had heating for the tables outside.
quick service and staff were very welcoming. Great lunch special
I had a great time with my girlfriend, really nice Indian atmosphere, foods, drinks and good price
My visit to the restaurant was part of a group and we chose it based on other online reviews which I feel aren't correct. It's not good for a group and is not a fine dining one. The space is small in an adjacent part of the Arcade and tables are too close to each other. Not recommended for a special event or for groups. The flavour of food was average, few of vegetarian curries didn't taste good but the non-veg tandoori platter wasn't bad, except that it had a mushroom! The service wasn't bad but the waiters surely are not professionals. I'd recommend Red Pepper on Bourke Street for a special event or Dosa Hut on King Street if ambience doesn't matter. Food tastes good at both places but Red Pepper is expensive.
Very friendly staff. Food was great, especially the paneer - can highly recommend it. Conveniently located near Flinders St Station, and one to keep on you rplaces to go list.
Really lovely staff and really lovely curry! We had a table for 12 and they were really efficient and let us split the bill which was really helpful! Wpuld definitely go again!!
Very nice people. Low price, hearty & tasty curries. Samosas probably reheated and a little overcooked as a consequence but that's a minor point in the scheme of things. Highly recommended for people in the market for tasty, budget priced Indian food
Best curry I have had for a long time, if you want medium heat order mild. spices are a bit hotter than other curry restaurants.
Had a table of 6 for a work dinner while travelling to MELBOURNE. Amazing food! Will be back again on the next visit! Absolutely delicious!!
Amazing food, I got the mixed platter and was so impressed. Would highly recommend for a great curry. Staff lovely and so friendly, great night!
This resturant has a very cute, cosy feel to it. The staff were absolutely lovely. They were friendly, professional and welcoming. This was my first time to the resturant and I will definitely be going back. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Reasonably priced for the quality of food you get. Do not be turned off by the resturants size or its slightly out of the way location it is definitely a place to try if you enjoy quality Indian food.
Good quality curry, we had the tikka masala and butter chicken, both of which are great! Great service and reasonable price! Would definitely come back!
The non veg gourmet thali deal was great value for money, the rogan josh was to die for. Would definitely go again and recommended this place
Great experience. Warm and friendly service. Tasty meals. Small but cosy place in the heart of the city. Just a few minutes from the Navatel where I stayed.
Food very good, probably the best curry in Melbourne. However, the setting feels as though you're eating outside in a corridor, rather than in the restaurant itself.
Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. I ordered 2 curries, a chicken and a beef. When it arrived it was 2 chicken curries. The owner didn't offer to change the chicken curry to a beef, but right at the end of the meal he brought me a small container of beef curry. So he did redeem himself!! Also on the website it said the cost would be between $11-13. He charged me $14.
