We arrived at 6.30 for an early dinner and our main meals didn't arrive until an hour later. Other groups were served before us. Not the normal level of service we have previously received from this restaurant.

Noisy restaurant; slow service; Loved pork belly mango sauce but Beef was extremely salty

Excellent food, served promptly. The masaman beef was very tender and delicious, and the Asian green wok complemented it perfectly. Best Asian cuisine in this part of Perth by far.

Superb food as usual. It's a very noisy restaurant even on a relatively quiet Sunday evening. However, it's worth it for the food. The service is usually slow to start with and hard to attract attention from the staff, but once service starts it's reasonable. Two dishes were late to the table last night and the rice was very quickly ordered when we asked where it was. We had a good view of this as we were seated near the pass. All is forgiven for the stunning food. The waiter was very professional though, sorry I can't remember his name. BYO on a Sunday too.

We got to the Restraunt at 7.30pm and we waited for almost an hour to get the menu and we had to ask for it. Again we waited a while before they came to take our order. Also my husband had ordered a cider beer and the waiter came and put an un opened bottle of beer on the table with no glass. We waited again another 15 minutes for the waiter to open the bottle but no show, so my husband went to the bar and complained to the guy behind the bar Overall we had a very poor experience last night.

The air conditioning in the restaurant made us all extremely cold and made it very difficult to sit and enjoy the night. It was not even a hot night. Made it very unpleasant.

Absolutely amazing food. The service from all the staff was fabulous. Very classy Thai restaurant, definitely more than I expected. Well worth the visit loved it.

Prawn and pineapple curry was a standout, as was the fried rice with chicken. Delicious food with friendly service but lacking a good, preferably French, rose wine by the glass.

The best and most authentic Thai food restaurant in Perth. The prawns were outstanding together with the green curry which was superb although a touch too hot. Washed down with a Lucky beer was a perfect compliment to a wonderful meal.

I booked early in the morning and I was located next to the toilet. The appetisers were cold. Prices are not according to the quality of the food (beef stir fry)

Really great Thai food at fair prices. We love this place. Particularly like the vegetarian options like red curry and tofu or pad Thai vegetable.

an upmarket Thai restaurant: nice ambiance and nice service ( if you overlook that at 9.30PM waitress starts spraying detergent on adjacent tables...) Not a good value though: expensive, small portions- had to go home and top up some...

Very flavourful food in a nice intimate setting. Prices are on the higher end. Service was good. Would come back again to try other dishes.

The last couple of special occasions we have had we always go to Galangal to be spoiled. The Thai Cuisine is beautiful presented great tasting,and always a special twist to old Thai Favourites. The Staff are very attentive and easy to talk to.

Five of us had dinner at Galangal last night. The restaurant was full. Our waitress was fantastic and made excellent suggestions. The food was unbelievable. Best Thai in Perth.

Surprised by high noise level on arrival. Seated promptly with provision of extra room for one person in wheelchair greatly appreciated. Unfortunately then had long wait before orders taken. Food excellent. Courteous staff.

Great food there was not enough staff We waited about 45 min before we called Someone over to take our order for drinks And food.

Amazing food, table for 2 a little small to hold ordered dishes. Great service !!! Strongly recommend the barramundi, once you’ve tried it, you’ll u derstand why they run out sometimes !!

The food was really nice - loads of flavour and good sizes. Service was good - attentive but not intrusive. This is a restaurant that I find is consistently good.

Absolutely delicious food...didn’t disappoint! Went here for our wedding anniversary dinner (as we love Thai), and found this local gem!! Wine list is very average though.

Favourite Thai, love it. Food and service excellent but do wish it was still in the entertainment book. Still will be going back again in the future.

Great service, great food! We would definitely visit again. We had the duck curry and pan fried prawns with sticky rice and manago for dessert.

The food was of a very high standard. So nice! Unfortunately for us it was very busy and we had to wait a very long time to even order. The staff did recognise the problem and apologised. We were unlucky

Another great experience at Galangal. Friendly efficient staff and best Thai food in Perth. Cannot fault the flavour and the quantity. If its a cool night wear something warm if you are seated near the front door.

Starters and mains were perfect and cooked just right with nice accompaniments. Good waitress ensured as little chili as possible for us. Twice cooked pork was so yum and crispy.

The food is gorgeous only that they are petite portions. The staff were very accommodating and polite. Looking forward to returning again and trying more from the menu

Good food. Nice atmosphere. We got there 10 mins late and they said they did not have our reservation. They had but deleted it when friends had arrived earlier. So we were seated somewhere else for 20 mins before we realised.

I think we made a right decision to choose Galangal restaurant for our dinner last night. Beautiful place and friendly staffs. We really enjoyed Fish cakes, Mar Hor(ม้าฮ่อ), Tom Kha liaisons, Pad Prik King and chicken with cashew nuts. I have a confident to recommend Galangal to friends and we will return again soon.

The food was fantastic, we had the fish cakes and the soft shell crab- yum, the sauces on both were delicious! Our mains were lovely and we brought what we couldn’t eat home! Service was great as well!

food was lovely, not a massive menu but a little different and we al loved it. service was efficient and friendly. wine list is good enough and byo is always a bonus. we will definitely be back.
