We had an awesome night. Excellent food, service, prices. Will be back for sure.
It was delicious! I has the butter chicken which was great
Great food. Great service. We always have a good night and are the last to leave.
An amazing place! Food was so tasty, service was quick, great place to go! Will be back and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to eat 😊
Food was very good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The chef cook came to see us and was very nice to us. Definitely would recommend.
Delicious Indian food at reasonable prices! Would recommend this restaurant.
Food was great. Service good but a bit lacking at times., but that may have been a result of us being caught up in conversation! The chef came out to see us a few times to give us some special treats. It's one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Sydney.
Yum! Great reliable Indian. Friendly service and always super delicious.
Amazing food & even more amazing staff! Shout out to chef Hayat for making my friends celebration so special- we will be back!
Absolutely amazing. Delish food. But most of all the chef was a beautiful human being. We felt so welcome. I had never eaten Indian before. He made our experience amazing. I can’t wait to go back
We ate the tandoori chicken thighs and lamb chops which are always good! However, our friends wanted to order the samosas and prawns covered in coconut (and batter) which were very disappointing. Unfortunately, they were both stodgy and inedible.
The food was very nice and the service was fast.
Great food, worth checking out. Service was good but they could have had more staff... give it a try!
Food was really nice. Service was average. Very reasonable pricing. Would go back again. Can recommend the chicken tikka misala as was very tasty indeed
The food was absolutely delicious, the best Indian my partner and I have ever eaten! All the staff were amazing! They were all very polite, helpful and attentive. Hayat, the head chef even came to the table to hand deliver a birthday desert for me. Would 100% recommend based on taste, the staff, and value for money.
We ate at Flavour of India again last night. We always order the tandoori which lived up to its expectation, however, the dahl was unusually runny which was disappointing.
The service was good The serves were not overly generous and lacked a vibrant taste. The meat did not melt in the mouth and the curry and sauce were not good enough to disguise this!
Nice food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. The goat curry was particularly good. Kingfisher beer compliments just about everything on the table. The hot curries could be s little hotter.
Good service, amazing food, free dessert and the chef personally introduced himself which was a nice touch. Would not have faulted any of the dishes. Lovely!
A very pleasant, spacious venue close to public transport with authentic Indian food and a good wine list. Friendly staff and the prices are reasonable for the Eastern Suburbs location.
Excellent authentic Indian cusisine. Good friendly service in a very inviting setting. Our old time favourites are butter chicken and the goat (I like it hot). Yesterday, I had the fish in green sauce which was very good too. BYO for wine is an added bonus.
We have been here numerous times over the years. Its bern awhile and I dont know why we stayed away so long. The food is outstanding. Many Indian restaurants are primary. Not thus one- every dish (we has 4) was superb. Service average. More than made up for by the quality of the food. Prices reasonable.
Flavour of India Restaurant at Edgecliff is special. So cosy, delicious, welcoming, yummy and Chef comes to check you have enjoyed his wonderful food!! x
Very interesting restaurant, the chef is a interesting person. I like his made foods, very delicious. The cost of foods and dining is quite reasonable, and I was happy to tip.
'Flavour of India' has always been the No.1 Indian Restaurant in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs always providing exceptional quality food. Staff and service have always been exceptional always providing a memorable dining experience
Great service and food. Large portions. Cheese naan was particularly yummy. Atmosphere is lacking but it would be good in a large group that would also enable you to try a variety of dishes.
We always order the tandoori chicken and tandoori lamb chops along with the dahl which are our preferred dishes when we dine at Flavour of India.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service from staff. Food was absolutely divine! Memorable graduation dinner with family. Only suggestion would be to include more rice dishes. Other than that, simple superb.
Great flavours, very tasty especially the butter chicken. Service was very good and meals well priced. Our children even enjoyed themselves. Will definitely be back.
Excellent restaurant, we had a lovely comforting winter meal, we received very gracious service and met the chef at the end of the night who was a very generous host!
Fantastic food. Outstanding service. Great ambience. We are regulars. Big favourite is the onion barji. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality. Booking is essential.
Fantastic meal, very tasty food and the staff were so lovely. The chef himself came out to chat to us and brought us special desserts !
Were here 2years ago and food was fantastic and came here again from Orange to celebrate our 46 years of marriage.once again food was heavenly and staff and chef fantastic. All round great experience thanks. peter
Flavour of India is always a good place for dinner and I recommend the vegetable korma with coconut milk and rice for vegetarians and vegans.
Very tasty Indian food. Lovely restaurant, good service. The highlight was a choice of exotic cocktails by the carafe which are an excellent complement the spicy flavours of the food.
I went with my wife and two of our children. We got a great table and we were served quite promptly. Food was quite nice, not amazing, but authentic and served hot. Overall, we would certainly go back.
Lovely food, nice waitresses, a little slow. Malabar prawns are a big winner. Everything was lovely. Samosa was excellent as was butter chicken. We had a lovely night.
Delicious food, served in reasonable time, good wait staff and good value pricing. Textures and flavours well above average in Indian food. Added bonus was when time to leave the settlement of the bill was done with speed and minimal fuss, so often an Achilles heel at otherwise good restaurants. Very enjoyable.
The BEST Indian restaurant we have ever experienced. We will be back whenever we are in Sydney. Such authentic spices and flavones as well as amazing choices.
Deco is too warn out. Food has not much taste. Tandoori chicken n butter chicken Masala should have different taste apart from the Red curry sauce.
Lovely and attentive staff, nice food and reasonable priced wine selection. For three adults we shared 3 mains and one starter, which was more than enough. Will definitely come back!
Amazing food - with the restaurant being #2 on TripAdvisor, we expected a lot - but the expectations were well met and even exceeded - would recommend
Mildly disappointing though last time we went was 1997! The samosas pastry was very tough making what could be a light entree heavy forcing many other diners to only eat the filling which I am sure is not what any chef would have intended. Butter chicken and the lamb spinach however saved the meal but I dont think we will return.
We went to the "Flavour of India"in Edgecliff for the first time on Sunday evening. There was plenty of choice on the menu, the food was excellent and the waiter and waitress were friendly, attentive, but not so attentive as to be intrusive. It's a great restraunt and my wife and I will certainly be returning there on our next trip to Sydney. Emil & Genevieve Finn Foxground, NSW
Flavour of India was a fantastic experience. I had been recommended it and it lived up to all of my expectations. The service was super efficient and friendly and the food was so flavoursome. For a restaurant of its standard, it is very affordable. The samosas are giant and so good that I went for a second round post the main meal! Will be back.
We ate at Flavour of India on Tuesday night. The tandoori chicken and tandoori lamb were both good as was the dahl dish and rice on the side.
We booked but didn't need to as the restaurant was very quiet. The service was great as was the food. We asked the extremely helpful and friendly waitress to order on our behalf and she did an excellent job as everything was absolutely delicious. One of the families favourite restaurant, can't believeit isn't packed every night.
The staff were really lovely and accommodating, but unfortunately the food not so great. The naan was not fully cooked and very doughy, the rice contained sultanas even though we asked without, the aloo gobi tasted like an italian dish and the tikka masala was like a butter chicken that had been reheated. Very disappointing for the cost. We are locals and unlikely to return.
Simple google search led us to Flavour of India - my family and I are visiting from Seattle, WA, USA. And while we had a handful of great meals in Sydney, dinner at Flavour of India stood out as excellent. Anyone with a Indian grandmother knows that she makes her best samosas. That being said, I was absolutely delighted when their samosas were so comparable to my grandma’s. I could just at them for my dinner and been happy. Everything - from their cocktails (fresh and clean), to their Palek Paneer (mom’s favorite), to their mango chutney (the BEST I have EVER had) and lime pickle (dad’s favorite), was so thoughtfully prepared that. Every dish was delicious. We had them prepare the Tandoori and Butter Chicken with medium spice and I have to say, I can’t think of anywhere I’d had better. Finishing it off with their mango kulfi or pistachio & dates kulfi will make an already amazing dinner that much better. Chef Hayat has outdone himself - and I think Sydney knows this. After all, Flavour of India has been around for 28 years. Even after all that time, he goes out of his way to check in with his customers and make sure their meal was great. That is service. If you’re a local and never been, you should. If you’re visiting, make this one of your stops. We’ll be in Sydney again in a couple days on our way home and will be stopping in again - it was THAT good.
The entrees were slow last night and when the tandoori chicken and lamb cutlets finally arrived they were dry, as though they had been overcooked! We were then asked if we would like the mains straight away?
