Fedele's Ristorante Italiano - Melbourne

Attended restaurant for dinner and found the experience to be very disappointing. After ordering wine, we waited 20 minutes for its arrival, having to follow up the waiting staff in the process. We ordered our meals and waited 30 minutes for our entrees and a further hour for the mains. We should have stopped at the entrees, which were OK, as the mains were just barely editable and clearly not professionally prepared. The Veal Scallopini was dry and had no proper sauce as neither did the Duck which was meant to have a mustard and pear sauce. This represents a very poor dining experience and even worse value for money as it was a $200.00 meal.

Had a lovely time, food great and the restaurant was very clean.

A fantastic atmosphere , service and wonderful food. We’ve get eaten here today with a small party of five work colleagues in from the US.

We appeared to be ignored when we arrived at the restaurant, but thereafter the attention was good. However, the service was so very slow, taking an hour before we were given the entree and the same again for the mains. The food was OK but overpriced for the quality. We were quite disappointed.

As a person with food allergies they are always so good at providing delicious food within my boundaries. We have been plenty of times and we will definitely keep going back.

This restaurant has amazing food but its a little expensive. It's definitely a restaurant to go for a special occasion. The service was fantastic & catered to my garlic & peanut allergies.

Booking online with Quandoo was easy. The service at the restaurant was professional, quality of food was high standard. However. they charged $20 corkage for a bottle of wine, and we had to wait a while for the food to arrive.

The meal and service where first class, maybe just a little long between courses, but really nothing crazy. Fideles will become our big occasion restaurant!

I made a reservation weeks in advance online for Valentines Day for a table of 4 in the front dining room. i received my confirmation online. On arrival was shown to the far back room instead of the front as i had booked. i thought a complimentary champagne would have been a good start for the ladies but this was not to be. After ordering drinks for the ladies. only 1 glass appeared, the second glass came 10 minutes later. Same problem once ordering and receiving our steaks for us guys we had 1 steak knife and at least 5 minutes to get the second knife. Service was very poor. Food was verry average also. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and have always had a good experience. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Wine overpriced. Corkage is ridiculous. Clearly untrained staff. Unfortunately, i will never be come back to this restaurant.

Noise levels fantastic because only half full .... or, half empty. ...... not the restaurant's control. I'm a frequent eater there ans take friends .....

Great authentic italian food and service as usual. Highly recommended.

Three of us had the Veal Scallopini and found the potatoes dry and the veal a little tough. Our main issue though was a corkage charge of $20 per bottle. We brought 2 bottles of wine which meant a $40 charge on the bill which we thought was outrageous. Sorry wont be back.

Our meals were good. I they were warm but not hot. I wasn’t really impressed with the menu The drinks are well overpriced and the byo more than I have ever seen. Service was ok but saw a lot of people getting up to get their own water and lots trying to get the wait staff’s attention

Completely over seasoned the mains and the flavour was quite bland. Quality has deteriorated over recent years

We found Fedeles to be a total dining experience - not just good food. Our waiter - Sam - was excellent, His skill, knowledge and pleasant manner were part of our enjoyable experience. Excellent food, was well presented (although we would have preferred plates rather than bowls when using knife and fork with one of the dishes). The wine list was also excellent. Well-spaced tables ensured that noise levels were quite low which added to our relaxed experience. For the total memorable experience, we considered the pricing to be about right.

Happy to recommend to friends - excellent food and good service.
