More about the restaurant: Dusit Dheva
Renowned Thai chef Taweepong Sangsuriyapom’s latest venture comes in the form of Perth restaurant Dusit Dheva. This exceptional restaurant is inspired and creative, with the menu finding a perfect balance between classic Thai flavours and western influence to bring a unique style of fusion dining. Located in Northbridge, you’ll find dishes like herb infused Thai curry with chicken breast, eggplant and snake beans, salt and pepper silken tofu with julienned apple shallots, mint, coriander, chilli and lime, as well as tiger prawns with homemade sweet and sour sauce and fresh pineapple. This is Thai dining like you’ve never seen before with a charming Dheva twist. Reserve a table at this James Street delight – you won’t be disappointed.

Thai food is zesty and aromatic and bursting with freshness and you’ll find no finer example of it than here at Dusit Dheva. As such, Thai food lovers from all over Perth make the journey to this Northbridge restaurant because they know it’s as good a guarantee of all of the above, as well as of superior quality and beautiful presentation as they’re going to find anywhere. This is gourmet dining and the restaurant itself – it sits pretty on James Street – is just as elegant as the food. From the outside, Dusit Dheva is almost reminiscent of a Thai temple or Buddhist monastery, while the interior is irresistibly stylish without trying too hard.
Onto the food, of course, and as we said, this is gourmet Thai dining so while you diners of Northbridge can expect the Thai classics, you can also expect them (and plenty of other dishes) to be done in a way it’s likely you haven’t tried before. Particular favourites of ours include the massaman curry made with slow cooked beef blade, the twice roasted pork belly with caramelised palm sugar, fish sauce and green mango salad, while a simple pad thai or fried rice dish will always hit the spot. The Dusit Dheva wine list is long and the service is typical of Thai hospitality, all of which combines to deliver what is honestly one of the best Thai restaurants certainly in Northbridge, but maybe all of Perth.
