Food was really good, but poorly organised with rice coming quite a while after the main dishes and dessert not coming at all (we ordered the banquet). But still a good night and I would still recommend (we didn’t have to pay for the desserts we didn’t receive).

We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us , food was delivered promptly , good portion size , tasty meals maybe a little too much salt but otherwise very tasty and with a myriad of flavours competing for attention. Price of our meal was reasonable and no complaints, it’s not our first visit and certainly won’t be our last despite the fact we live over an hour away .

Our party of four made a first visit to Dish last night, we arrived at 6pm as we like to eat early so we were the first there. The owner helped us with ordering as we were not familiar with most of the dishes on the menu and asked for meals that were not too spicy and shareable. Every dish that was delivered to the table was fantastic, large servings of very tasty food which which we all liked. Cant say I remember the names of the dishes but we will be going back again soon. BTW, by 7pm the restaurant was full so probably a good idea to book to ensure a table. A true dining experience!

Loved the food. Was a little worried that the children’s boiled rice and plain nan came out later than everyone elses meal. They were really hungry so, started hunting around the restaurant. Otherwise, great night out!!

Poor quality food. Exceptionally poor quality food. And some of the food we ordered just never showed up. Stay away!

Loved the hoppers and curries. The wattalappam was also good but we didn’t see the necessity of chocolate powder sprinkled on top.

It’s a small space in the front of the restaurant and it was very crowded - make sure you book! We had the plain hoppers with chicken curry dipping sauce, the fish curry and the beef mustard curry with basmati rice. It was all delicious and service was great. I’ll be back.

### Restaurant Review: Disappointing Experience at Dish: Sri Lankan Street Food I recently dined at Dish: Sri Lankan Street Food, a Sri Lankan restaurant, with high hopes of enjoying an authentic culinary experience. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food was extremely disappointing. Starting from the flavorless fish cutlets and soggy hot butter cuttlefish. The Crab Curry was particularly disappointing, with no actual crab flavor in it. Instead, it had a taste reminiscent of kiri hodi. The most egregious dish was the goat curry, which was a complete disgrace. The curry flavor was a disgrace to Srilankan cooking, the meat was tough and inedible. The prices were exorbitant. This place is cheating people out of their hard earned money and once again is a huge disgrace to Srilankans world over. Please don't judge Srilankan food based on an experience here.

We had a wonderful first experience at Dish. The service was excellent, and the food was incredible. We tried the hoppers, pol roti, black pork curry, and fish curry – everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine!

We've been a number of times and the food is amazing and remarkably inexpensive. It's also byo which helps. Service is excellent. Having been to Sri Lanka, it is such a joy to be able to have an authentic sri lankan experience.

This place is a local gem. Great food, lovely family running the restaurant and so reasonably priced. A bonus is that it’s 100% byo.

The staff were very accomodating, they were happy to turn the music down when we asked them. Our group were all dairy/gluten free and there were a lot of options to choose from. The foos was absolutely delicious and cooked really well. I have eaten here before and will definitely go back.

The food was delicious! Some of the best Sri Lankan I’ve had outside of my family 😂 and reasonably priced. A lot of Sri Lankan restaurants in the City are overpriced so this was an excellent change. The restaurant is VERY busy, (we went on a Saturday night) and wait staff were I’ll equipped for the amount ppl in the restaurant. They definitely need a lil bit more training in service, they were all lovely but people we were waiting too long to order, and had to ask, drinks took too long to be brought over, and there was not extra thought put towards greeting customers or ensuring they were okay but I think it’s cos they are under staffed as well for the amount of ppl. The timing for the food to be served was great tho and the food was always nice and hot. Overall, I highly recommended.
