Carmel's Bar & Gril

We were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door. Service was perfect. We liked the menu and atmosphere so much we returned the next night and the lovely young waitstaff remembered our drink preferences and treated us like old friends.

First time diners. Food was excellent, value for money was exceptional. Meals were very generous sizes. Good service, very nice pleasant decor. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back.

We were greeted at the door with a friendly face. Menu had something for everyone. Food was presented well and tasted amazing. Was a little echo sounding and difficult to hear my partner at times.

I was having lunch with my husband and my brother - very much a family event. The food, service and atmosphere were all amazing. Joe's friendly nature very much added to the day. We will certainly be returning, and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal in a friendly environment in McLaren Vale.

Food was excellent, had to ask for cutlery salt and pep water on the table. Just felt like we were spending the night asking for stuff that should have been supplied without asking

Noise levels were caused by our own party with toddlers. The staff were absoulutely amazing in tolerating our children. They placed us in a great spacious area. I hope the other customers weren't too affected by our families noise! The staff were absoulutely lovely! :)

We ordered our drinks, waited over 30 minutes to receive them! Then there seem to be quite a wait for the food. I seemed to be squashed in at the seating at the table, if I needed to be excused, I wouldn't have been able to get out. I know it was a busy day being Father's Day even so, put on MORE staff to cater for. Just a suggestion!!!!

As always the food and service was excellent. It’s wasn’t very busy for a Saturday night. They do the best vegan snitty here and the fish n chips portion was huge! My only suggestion would be to consider replacing the chairs. They are very hard/uncomfortable wooden straight back chairs. We will be back though.

The food was delicious, as always. Atmosphere - is usually quiet and was again, but was also very cold, and they didn't have the beautiful fireplace going in the height of winter. Service - was ok but mostly disappointing was the staff wearing track pants and a hoodie. Supposed to be a restaurant, not a take away shop.
