The food was great and filling. Service was good but a little bit of waiting for the food after ordering.

Friendly service and delicious food. The restaurant was slightly uncomfortable due to the hot day and air conditioning not working well but we will happily go back when the weather cools down.

Amazing, food, service and atmosphere. Definately a place to go for a nice dinner with a partner or with kids.

Meal portions are huge! But once again let down on the rib-eye. For $74, I'd expect perfection. But as last time, raw for the most part. It really isn't that hard to cook a thick cut, do so often. Unsire how they can get it wrong. Used to be my go to for rib-eye, but sadly won't be getting it again from there.

# out of 4 meals were good but the pulled pork dish was way too sweet and the potatoes were burnt and soggy. The staff were wonderful and the venue is lovely

Had a fabulous lunch today for my mums 95th birthday, the service started before we even arrived as I had written an enquiry about entry to Carmel’s with a walker, Joe called me to explain best entry and it was also no problem to add 2 extra guests to our booked table. Joe greeted us at the front door and showed us to the table exchanging conversation with our youngest guest of 21/2 to the 95th birthday girl. Table service was excellent staff attentive but not overbearing, meals came out in a reasonable time and portions were a generous serving. Thank you Joe for a happy dining experience and looking forward to returning another time.

We originally had a table and close by was another table with 4 people on it. There weren’t many people in the restaurant and the 4 people were speaking very loudly. Perhaps because it was quiet it seemed worse. We asked the waiter if we could move to a quieter table and he did so immediately -not a problem and we then enjoyed our meal.

Service was a little slow. I was disappointed with the pulled pork dish with slaw etc. the potatoes with melted cheese were solidified hence I believe pre prepared and then reheated. Salmon and fish dishes were good. Burger average.

We booked for 5pm to allow us to have a quick meal and attend the McLaren Vale Pageant. The waiting staff were slow to take our order, two out of five were the wrong meals. The service was so slow that we missed the Pageant.

Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to please us. Food was great, with large serves and plenty to choose from.

Happy with most of the service. The young girl with glasses wasn't the best the whole time. Didn't like that she passed the hot meals across the table over other people and the plates were hot to grab. She should have walked around the table and placed next to us. Not the best customer service.

We were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door. Service was perfect. We liked the menu and atmosphere so much we returned the next night and the lovely young waitstaff remembered our drink preferences and treated us like old friends.

First time diners. Food was excellent, value for money was exceptional. Meals were very generous sizes. Good service, very nice pleasant decor. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back.
