Excellent customer service and great delicious food with awesome atmosphere.

Great view. We ordered entrees and mains. Both arrived at the table at the same time. Would expect entrees first then a break before mains. Having said that the food was very nice. Great staff, great service.

We visited on a very wet day, which meant there was a small number of patrons, and the views of the lake were limited. The food and service were good , but we suggest that an order for steak should include a steal knife.

Mid week Schnitzel special was good value and enjoyable. No draft beer available was disappointing.

Tavern bowl meal did not Mach the picture. It was deceiving as the picture showed chicken in the bowl. The add on section of the menu was hard to see on the phone,

Food was lovely and arrived very quickly after ordering. Little strange having to go to two different bars to get drinks but other than that lovely location and staff friendly and helpful

Meal choice on menu was average. Bar facilities were too fragmented, had to go to different bars for your choices. Ridiculous! Plus side: Great venue but needs an outside deck off dining area.

Japanese scallops were way over-priced. Three small scallops for $24 is ridiculous. This is a tavern, not a Michelin star restaurant. Prawn roll was too sweet with the brioche bun. A fresh bun may be better

Every thing was fantastic, food was great and service was excellent

Food was great, Although we were lucky we were there at 5pm and left at 6pm before it was getting busy as we had our baby in the pram and had to move empty chairs to get out. Quite squishy. However staff were really lovely

Enjoyed the new venue. Our food was served quickly to us after ordering which was a plus, having children with us. A big thank you to all.

So no one to guide you or show you to the table. No smile from the waiting staff that took your order. I go wow. This place could be amazing with its location but the food was so expensive and the customer service was so poor it was a shame. For the price I would not return but for the ocation I would but plan a very cheap eats because the food was pretty ordinary.

Food was nice. They'll only been open a couple of weeks, but they have to iron out a few problems. Love the view, outdoor tables need umbrellas please.🙏 beer taps need to be installed at the bar where you order meals rather than walking out to another another area to order beers where there was a huge quere🙄

We went early so beat the crowds and our lunch came out fast. Best salads we’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend the pumpkin one!

Our reserved table was a high table with bars stools right next to the endless line up to the bar. Not somewhere anyone would want to sit to have a liesurely lunch. There was only one bar operating, taking both food and bar orders so the queue was constantly long. Then if you order a tap beer they had to go elsewhere to get it as their taps weren't working. Needed more staff. Food was ok but nothing to rave about. Hopefully it was teething problems and it improves.

Food was great. Long wait for food, but beautiful view to look at whilst waiting. Staff doing exceptionally well due to tavern just opening and being so popular in the Christmas holidays.

Our overall experience was pleasant. We were sat at a rather awkward/uncomfortable table that we didn't think would fit our share plates and although we requested to move tables twice after 2 other groups had left we were declined as they were already booked for other guests that hadn't arrived yet. Although this was disappointing we made it work and had a nice lunch.

Staff excellent. Food and atmosphere all good and service was timely and efficient given the number of customers.

There was a long wait for meals. Understandable on a public holiday, but no discount/dessert was offered. Even a simple dessert was 1hr. No updates from service staff. Meals were not to a standard you would expect.

Fantastic service & atmosphere. We were greeted as we arrived by your fantastic staff. Food came out quick and tasted amazing. Can’t wait to come back.

I felt for the staff that were working. They were obviously understaffed and very busy but were friendly and professional. The wait time for food was over an hour and it was very disappointing. My husband’s fish and chips were dry and the portion was tiny. I had the prawn roll on a brioche bun that was stale.

To begin with, the cafe is quite small, especially where you order food, and was very noisy. We were told there would be a 30 to 45 minute wait for food but it took just over an hour to serve us two burgers and fish and chips. Meanwhile two other tables were served before us even though they came after us. The food was average and drinks ordinary. Overall not what we expected. Will not return there.

Few teething problems but only just opened great venue just what area needs

All very new staff. Teething problems obvious when we arrived between manager and bar staff and having somewhat heated discussions in front of customers. Really hot in the dining area when the sun is coming through the glass during the afternoon. They need window shades. Food was nice when it arrived. I think we might leave it a while before going back.

Too many people swished into the space-hot & loud. Tables too close together. Long wait for the meal. Queues at the counter were far too long. The waiters did a good job under the circumstances. Some of the food was a litttoo dry. I will not go again in peak period.

Gorgeous position, spectacular views and great service. We visited during opening week and although it was super busy the staff worked under pressure with smiles.

The setting of the ‘Tavern’ is fabulous with a great view of the lake. The barramundi was cooked lovely and came with 2 pieces, plenty of chips & salad. The schnitzel was the size of a small car and also came with plenty of chips and salad. Hubby gave it a 7/10 which is great as the best he’s tasted since living here at Lake Mac, scored an 8/10. It was also lovely to stroll outside and enjoy the beautiful sunset with a lovely glass of wine. We will definitely make this our ‘Local Pub’ 👍❤️

I’m a resident and think this was the missing factor for guests and residents. Tom is excellent and has been a familiar face for some years. We met Erin (not sure of his name) from the group and he was interested in our opinion as well. Fabulous work by the group and Tom! Menu had an interesting and diverse amount of food choices. Aesthetically pleasing in all rooms

Atmosphere is always great. Although unfortunately meals were ordered at 650pm and didn't come out until 820pm. Food was lovely though when it eventually arrived. Thankfully we also had our own torch because we couldn't see anything on our table on the grass. We let staff know who were apologetic. Staff are always lovely and very friendly but unfortunately very under staffed last night, which they acknowledged and apologised. Perhaps better forward planning of staff for a long weekend next time.

Overall it was better than the reviews suggested but improvements can be made in training the bar staff.

Only one taking orders and getting drinks resulting in a long queue. They did put in another person to help. I think that because it was Fathers Day they under estimated the time to serve. We will certainly return

More staff needed to take orders. 1 should be designated drinks & 1 person designated food orders. Waited 1 1/2 hours for meals.

Food was great but restaurant area was very cold as no heating and door to outside tables not covered.

Lovely view and atmosphere. Service was awesome. Food was yum! My dad loved the chocolate brownie sundae.

The meals were great. Busy time, Lots of holidaymakers !

Staff were helpful and friendly always checking in to ask if everything was ok. Food was good, drinks were good and outlook was fantastic. Highly recommend

The food is always delicious & fresh! The staff are always welcoming & have a smile. We’ve been twice now & will definitely be back.
